Roadside Thrills

After the unfortunate cat incident from last week, it was heart-quickening to see another pile of junk in the same street. I had to drop the Doctor off to pre-school, take Tiny to the real doctor, and then I drove back past ye olde pile-o-junk to take my pickings. Everything was as it should be. No tails protruding from boxes. Phew.

Today I scored this cute little beauty case, smells totes musty, but it's in awesome condition.

And this little card table that I think we might make into an outdoor table.

The beauty of finding such.. finds is that if we don't like them, we can just put them back out on the street and someone else might dig them. I don't need a receipt to return them, and that's always a bonus.

Have you scored any roadside thrills lately?

That beauty case is lovely! Great score!

I found a wicked frog shaped Toy box recently - resplendant with little vintage toys inside!

I can't believe you were brave enough to rummage through roadside treasure again.
After reading about the cat incident I don't think I'll be seeking roadside bounty for a very long time to come.
I sit here typing in total awe of your bravery.

Excellent roadside pickups. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
I haven't found anything curb side lately, but found a whole treasure trove yesterday from Savers.

My mum used to have a beauty case just like that except it was white!
What a memory from my 70s upbringing.

You are sooooooo lucky we cant do that over here as fly tipping as we call it is illegal and carrys heavy fines and even prison if caught!. So the nearest I get to stuff like that is a good old dig around in tat shops, which is kewl coz you do find some quality stuff sometimes but alas you have to pay!! but it does go to charity so there is a plus too x

Nice treasure sans pussy! and once again I am thinking I should get my Ms Citizen hat on and get the council down here to embrace the road side chuck out - how I miss the bounty of the front lawn!

nice one on the case, i have a matching pair in larger sizes that i used for my wedding stuff.
Bec from http://honidesign.blogspot.com also has a sweet one that she uses as a handbag.

If still musty smelling, try Febreeze - it is magic on funky smells. It even worked on tom cat wee...
