LastMinute.Com Would Be So Proud

Last week I had a hit of genius. Matt and I have had Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros on high, high, ridiculously high rotation ever since I first discovered this truly addictive tune way back here. I listen to it to go walking. Over and over. I play it when washing up. Over and over. Matt and I sing it in the car. We are totally (well I am) out of tune, but no matter. Even the Doctor digs it.

I am a dedicated follower of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. There now. I've said it. No rehab for me.

I'm even more totes excited because one of my friends in LA has seen them play a few times over Summer and said they're just as golden in real life. This is good news.

So hence I went, stitching madly on my large piece of remnant linen. I've loved watching Kirsty's red work. So I tried my hand at it. I am getting more and more confident with stitching. Nothing can hold me back peeps! I love the look of red on linen.

However, in the well-loved style of mondegreens, I've mistakenly put what I thought were the lyrics, instead of what are really the lyrics. Let's call that poetic licence. Ahem.

And just as I had started working on making it into - you guessed it - a cush - Matt piped up and said to me, "Oh you know what I would really love for Christmas? A cushion for my chair." I smirked. As only PottyMouthMama knows what's in front of the sewing machine being madly stitched up lastminute.com style.
Dear Blogger, I am seriously about to head butt you. You know why, I don't need to explain, just look at my image. AGAIN!

With the photos, I've had a look around and there's nothing obvious. A setting may have been changed somewhere. A work around would be to rotate them once in the opposite direction in your photo editor so that when blogger rotates it it ends up the right way up??? Will have a look at a couple of other things for you and let you know.

Love the emboidery and oh so fantastic that he's actually gonna be able to use it!!

One photo answer is to save as a .png instead of a .jpg. Slightly larger file but apparently doesn't rotate. Might be worth trying, especially since it's so annpying.

Any chance you camera is a Canon with an Auto rotate feature? If it is and you can turn it off do so. Other comments on the forums indicate saving "without EXIF data" or saving as another file type then back to jpeg. hope something works for you.

Dear Pottymouth,

I am a big fan of your lovely sideways pictures, but even a bigger fan of your witty prose. Thanks for making my Christmas merry. :)

I only just discovered this band today, via Jodi's blog 'Che and Fidel' and the little film her husband made. Your embroidery is sweet. If Matt does not agree I will send you my address. :)

my photos rotate themselves sometime on blogger and i just rotate them in my photo editor 90 degrees one way and then back again so they are back up the right way and that seems to do the job when you reload them the next time - good luck!

I am starting to quite enjoy tilting my head to the right each time I see your posts pop up in Reader. It's like a reflex now.

Ah, not to worry. Before I come over a visiting I rotate my monitor to the right. You are such a last minute gift starlet. Unfortunately I'd have to start stitching back in October to achieve anything as excellent as a SECRET-HOPE-HE-DOESN'T-READ-THIS-BLOG cushion.

Can't.stop.listening.to.that.song.

Oh, and redwork is my current mind-obsession. 2010 is going to be my year of mastering it.

I believe this phrase may feature heavily.

Just absolutely LOVE this. xxx

Did he like it? I bet he did. I love any many that is a lover of the cush. That is special indeed. Perhaps it needs a pocket to hold his beer top collection - not quite so special I suspect
