Here's Something I Prepared Earlier

And guess what, I found my camera. And my ironing mojo (it rolls around as often as the Haley's Comet). And a whole pile of stuff I had hidden in the ironing basket (when I was 'cleaning up' - clearly I use that term loosely).

So here's the thing I prepared earlier.

Since I shook off the shackles of my sewing classes early last year, things are going along well. Slowly, but well. I don't measure anything, I just sew. And the non-measuring thing only really (at the moment) lends itself to me sewing cushions. So pretty soon our home might be abundant with cushions, it is breeding season after all. Once I get my confidence up, I might try a pattern, but for now, I sew with reckless abandon.

This is my pin-k cushion. I am yet to handsew up the side seam. Lucky for me it was pelvic floors and not procrastination at the top of my resolution chart (you can thank Mel at From Little Things for reminding me).

We just watched 'State of Play' (if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour, if only for Russell's bob. Ok the movie is pretty darn good too). Have you seen any good movies these holidays? The boys are off to see 'The Fantastic Mr Fox' this evening. Feeling more than a wee bit envious. I love Wes Anderson. I love Roald Dahl. And I don't mind a wee bit of fox action either.

We just was State of Play last night too, it was actually pretty good. Looking forward to Fantastic Mr Fox this week, hopefully.

I loved State of Play....there is something about a man with a bob! or maybe it's just a Russell thing?

You are talking my language today,Pottymouth. K and I are couch-hunting right now (wedding present) and I am so keenj to replace all my festy old cushions. My style is hand-sewn wobblyness too, but I am so pleased and joyfullated by something that I have made myself that I don't caer that it's really badly done. Your pink one is really gorgeous.

And did you know that my Teddy is named after that Fantastic old Fox? It's his middle name. Both kids have a literary hero for their middle name, so Theodore got Fox - then along came this film and who voices him but George Clooney! How happy could a mother be??

we are thinking Fantastic Mr Fox may be the first movie we take Busy too as it was my favourite as a young-un- so I am interested to hear your review via your boys as to the suitability of doing so with a small child...

Finally I have met a sewing buddy who doesn't measure! Yes!
I love your cushion.
We took the kids to see Mr Fox today. I loved it. I felt I was in a picture book and I didn't want it to end.
My hubby and I have Bern using Ash Fox's line all night "cause I'm little"
Do you wanna do the dishes....cause I'm little.
I can't reach the remote....cause I'm little.
Can you scratch my back....cause I'm little.

We are quite sad.

Love the pin cushion PMM - so many pretty colours - me thinks it is like a fairy's rainbow. Noice.

Hooray - I love to see a little PMM sewing action even if it is in the realms of cushions only. I would happily have one of those, your sewing is coming along just freaking fine

And watched the Duchess yesterday while I was at home sick and while not a top tip was still great.
