It's Called: I Can't Find The Camera

So from now until the point when I locate the camera, I'll be illustrating this here space with images found on the interwebs. This means that:

a) I can't show you some sewing I have so enthusiastically taken part in
b) I can't get too personal
c) I must cruise the interwebs kerb crawling for syootable images to illustrate my incredibly interesting posts.

Now that I have that out of the way, I'd like to ask you some big questions.
What is it you like about PMM?
And what don't you like?
And what do you want more of?
It's been almost two years since PMM was hatched and like all two year olds, it's heading into rocky territory. Some days I find I don't know what to post. So tell me, dear reader, what is it that warms the cockles of your heart.
And while you're thinking about these big questions for twenty-ten, here's some muzak. It will definitely warm the cockles, even the sub-cockles of your heart. Shut UP!

image appropriately titled rock and a hard place.

You are always hilarious Ms PMM. That warms me cockles... too many people in the ol' blog-o-sphere take themselves waaaay too seriously (I may very well be that type myself, sadly). So, it's always refreshing to come here and have a laugh - usually at your expense!!

Don't go changing too much... we love you.

At the risk of being a copy cat I agree with Megan and Sophie - I love your honesty and your seemingly effortless humour. Warms the cockles and tightens the pelvics as I said earlier.

I know what you mean about the 'ol blog tanty's. Mine's not even one and already I just think it b-o-r-i-n-g. Thinking perhaps I needed to stick to reading awesome blogs such as yours rather than attempting my own! Having said that I am going to try to remember why I started my blog when I sit down to write this year. I LOOOOVVEEEEE getting comments but I think I am tending to write to please others rather than for myself. That's what I love about your blog the most - I reckon you write for yourself and we're all along for the ride!

May the bloggy force be with you!

I agree with the last 3 lasses, I love everything about PMM, so don't go a changing. Unless of course you want to, but there is nothing I don't love about you!xx

Ok... so all of the above...

but I would like to add that I particularly enjoy when you show us things you like... so songs... shopping items... etc... your opinion on things...

but mostly your blog is great and funny and that is why I check in every now and again and see what's going down in PMM town.

I like your honesty and your ability to laugh at yourself. I especially like your posts about your kids and their antics because mine are the same age and I can often relate (but it's much funnier when it's someone elses kids)!

yep, what they all said.
I particularly like your rants on things- like the plastic surgery etc but I really like it when you tell a story about something you did- like the garbage bin you stalked last year with all the great stuff in it!how it became a bit of a mini soap opera...
I also like seeing the things you do with the smalls as it gives me ideas. I enjoy the disasters immensely- makes mine feel normal...But mostly its your 'voice' that I love the mostest.

Hello there - I've recently stumbled across you through mutual blog-pals and am having quite a bit of fun reading about your shenanigans. You're just such a naturally endearing writer, no matter what you're talking about, and it makes you come across as the kind of person who'd be entertaining in reality, too. So thanks, you've been giving me another thing to click onto online for a couple of months now. Perhaps I shouldn't be thanking you - it's not like I don't spend enough time on the internets already. Oh well. :)

Come on. Give us a clue. Where do you want the blog to go? I'm lovin' poppin' over just as you are. It's like calling in to an old friend and knowing you can switch the kettle on youself and raid the fridge without it being an issue.

I lovt all. Feels like having a cup of tea with a friend that makes you spurt biscuit out of your nose and doesn't mind that you got snot on the tablecloth.

Keep on keepin on, PMM. I do love the little details the most - what's going in your corner of town.

Don't change a thing. You are funny and honest and I feel
like I am catching up with a friend when I pop in.
Just like an old family recipe from the Golden Wattle cookbook that Gran's had for 80 years for scones, you don't mess with. If Neil Perry says add cream you forget it and stick with Gran's.
You have a great recipe here.

Oh Bah-logging.... You don't have to explain the waxing and waining of blog love to me. I'm sitting right there beside you.

In any case, your blog does rock, whether you think it does or not. The ups and downs, ins and outs, lulls and highs are what makes blogs dynamic. Plus you're funny, and you have good shit 'round the house that we all LOVE seeing.

.xx.

(p.s. sometimes I find joining or starting one of those once a week theme posts a reeeaaallly helpful way of getting through lulls).

What do I love about your little corner of the world. The honesty on the boring as porrige mum days are good. I am always happy for a Tiny fashion tip too. Your embroidery is always a bit of eye candy, I love to see what you have been mixing up there.
I often have the why do I blog moments, but I am open for a bit of sumthin' sumthin' new and shiny but I think whatever you feel you need to do will come from the same heartful place that I love

What's so good? It's real. No wrapping it up and sugar coating, it's honest and it's so refreshing especially after dealing with all the white lies that you have to deal with on a daily basis because people just can't handle the truth. Perfect the way it is. Need inspiration? One of those weekly theme things might help as someone has already mentioned or make up your own, I'm sure others would follow around. Ummm photo's of garbage bins you like or have gotten good stuff from...street art you appreciate. Sights from the last walk with the kids. Just stuff really :-)

i am another PMM fan who loves you just the way you are. your writing is really engaging love all the details and dry humour. love the plastic surgery rants, the junking adventures and most memorably your tiny birth story. if you are feeling too confused about the direction of your blog you could always start an offshoot specially for more political rantings or experimenting with your writing or whatever it is that is causing your dilema. i've been thinking bout doing that...
