Buying Time

This afternoon we three went to the little shops. We enjoyed an icy pop together with Tiny wiping most of hers on my dress. Er thanks.

Then we went looking for a stranger's cat to pat. We always look in the streets for cats. Alas today was cat-less and we went home wanting. We meandered our way home through the back streets. The Doctor pointing out houses that we could buy (they weren't even actually for sale, and besides this, we're not in the buying market - boo hiss!).

My smalls tend to go a little berko when I'm prepping for dinner. Well particularly the smallest one. Tiny wants to be carried around which is not conducive to chopping and locking (sorry! I had to work in that lame pop and lock reference).

So I set up 'washing up'. When better to start your smalls on the domestic chores than rightthisveryminute?! They washed up their tea sets. I cooked dinner. They didn't want to come in for dinner they were having so much fun. If only real life washing up was so good.

My girls love washing up too! Or bathing the barbie dolls. A great activity, especially on hot days! x

My best friend used to spend hours washing Tupperware when she was little. It was her favourite thing to do. Funnily enough, she's still very much into it, and she's 30 now :)

As im reading this im trying to get my 17 year old to empty one shelf of the dishwasher while my 15 year old has fallen asleep before doing the bottom shelf. I guess ill just wait then. I miss the good old days when I could send them outside with a faux game.

Oh tiny - a gumboot for all occasions - I like that in a girl. Caleb use to love doing a car wash when he was younger. Great idea

Seriously, that kind of ingenuity is worthy of Mother of the Year awards.

Nice work mama! Hey if you ever want a cat to pat mine is an absolute LUSH! Sits his gorgeous self out on our fence and literally calls people over to give him some lovin'. Admittedly, he is very beautiful.
