Tiny Pirates

Tiny loved playing dress-ups yesterday for O's birthday. She actually loved pillaging pirate accessories, such as this hat, and later a dancing dress. Despite the fact that later in the afternoon she crashed out feeling sick and slept on top of me, she'd had a good day. Maybe she came crashing down from the sugar high all the smalls were experiencing.

Today we seem to be having a movie marathon. We're (still freaking well) sick. It's cold. It's grey. The smalls watched Curious George, and Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Got any good movie tips to share with us?

Lately, on rainy afternoons we are making popcorn and watching Mary Poppins together, all curled up on the couch with a toasty, singing along... (Everything in this house that helps keep you warm is currently called a "toasty" whether it is a blanket, towel or pj's!)

Did you like Mr Magorium....? I took a class full of kids to see it at the movies a couple of years back and most of them said they didn't like it!!!!

James and the Giant Peach is favourite here (bit scary for me but 3yo seems to drink it up)

Others to be considered, Babe (of course), David Attenborough Blue Planet (for animals and awkward questions) and Fantastic Mr Fox for how George Clooney even looks / sounds good as an animated creature.

I think I will go and find Mary Poppins.

FLY AWAY HOME. Kate told me about it, and it's utterly gorgeous. It's my current movie crush.

You need to watch the movie UP, because it's amazing! Adults and everyone can enjoy it, it's a bit suspenseful but in the end, it's cute and it's good!

We are having a run of Anne of Green Gables. More for me because I always wanted to date a boy called Gilbert.
When that's not on, it's trains and trains and more trains.

we're loving toy story 2, enchanted, mickey mouse choo choo express and barbie and the diamond castle but I'm guessing anything with barbie won't go down well with your big boy!
