Not As Funny As Me Forgetting To Pay Rent. Right?!

I spent about a million hours today tidying our house for our real estate agent to come and inspect.

She was meant to be here at 5pm.

At 5:22pm she was still not here.

I called her. She told me she had the flu. OH! And she'd written the appointment in the wrong day. WOOPS!

Now no one can touch anything in the house until she comes tomorrow. Everyone must sleep in the car, or camp, or something other than mess up the house again.

This week visitors are welcome. The house is incredibly tidy.

Don't look in the car.

(I need
Peter to come to my house and make me let go of some clothes and well - stuff - that I hang on to. Because I just might need it!)

Banished because of the vacuuming, and the mr sheen on horizontal surfaces...
Happens about monthly here, and the boyz go to the park. Then they come back again....

love the wall. sorta good for peeping in through or esme style prying out through.

Must be house-inspection season. The 12-year-old emissary from the real-estate agent turned up while I was in the shower (I got the appointment time wrong) and proceeded to lecture me about state of the lawn. I'm not sure that he's ever mown a lawn before, because he didn't understand that it wasn't something I could do while it was raining all weekend!

Oh I have had that experience. Annoying! Good luck with keeping it clean...I would have no hope.

Oh that is my life too! Every 3 months... grr.... So lucky to have recently bypassed the real estate and renting from friend-of-friends. What a pleasant experience. Looking forward to saying Hi at ABCD next week :)

ok. Seriously, the exact thing happened to me two friday's ago. but I called and left a message, then called reception to make sure she was in and would call me back. Then i waited. and the kids missed their sleep. and she didn't call me back. and I wanted to go psychotic except I realised that she would just take it out on me when final inspection came.
She called the next day and said she would reschedule. The following Friday I again prepared the house as if surgery were to be performed within. She didn't show - I checked the paperwork.... oh yes, I got the date wrong and she's actually coming this Friday. I like cleaning less that the next person. Really? three weeks in a row? for a Real Estate Agent? The one who doesn't care enough to return a call?
The children are starting to call Friday NO PLAY DAY or NO TOY DAY.
Hope she turned up the second time! Please wish me luck for this Friday!!

hehe, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does a massive clean when the real estate people are visiting. Do you think they notice that the floor is just a little *too* freshly vacuumed? I reckon they're on to me.
