Giveaway: There Are Only 18 Sleeps To Go!

To Northern Hemispherers this may sound odd. Because it hasn't been hot, bone scorchingly hot, I don't feel like it's Christmas.

I'm doing my best peeps. The shops are packed with bodies throwing caution and $$$ to the wind. Our house is festive. I've been making lists and checking them twice, heck who do I think I am, Santa? I'm out to a Christmas party tonight and I will be wearing sparkles.

We have no Advent calendar. Egads.

However, I do have something exciting for you gals to get you in the spirit. Come closer, nope closer still, I promise I don't have halitosis.

We all know how I love Fruit Mince tarts. I've just taken delivery of some Baker's Delight Fruit Mince Tarts and Lemon Tarts, and I will not disclose how many I have already consumed. (But scroll down and you'll realise I didn't learn a thing from the Supersize me post).

To get you in the spirit, Bakers Delight have given me 5 vouchers (so you can get in the mood and get your own Fruit Mince or Lemon Tarts) to give away to Australian PMM readers. All you have to do is share your favourite Christmas song that gets you in the mood... For Christmas.

Mine? I love the Cocktail Christmas CDs. I always sneak them on. And then my FIL takes them off and puts on some old-timer Christmas carols that make me feel like I am at the morgue.
I'll draw the five winners on Friday night.

Right now it is a new song for me - When Santa got stuck up the chimney, and the last few years it has started with

Hi, Were the Wiggles...and the wiggling yuletide begins, it is making me looney, but the girls are in Christmas heaven.

Thinking of getting Ella F and making them listen to that, but I doubt it will bring me the same peace.

But the lemon tart, god they are good...and I was 30 before i tasted a mince tart, thinking they actually had cold mince of some kind...not part of my traditional Aussie bogan christmas upbringing.

I have an ABC Classics CD which always makes me feel like Christmas without being in your face Ho, Ho, Ho - and sounds realy high-brow when I'm not really like that! I equally enjoy a good rendition of Jingle Bells, Batman Smells...

Well picture a cold Christmas Eve night in New York. Two lonesome wanderers with jet lag and a broken wheel on the trolley suitcase had just landed at JFK via London and were shepherded into a mini van headed for the big smoke.
Very much like Mary and Joseph looking for the Inn, these weary travellers were stuck with Marco and cheesy FM for 3 sodding hours.
The travellers were getting the grump on until I Farted on Santas Lap followed by Mama Sita Donde Esta Santa Claus came over on the radio.
We won't ever forget that night and now those two songs are played whenever the grumps attack...or the Gramps (old people) attack. Which go hand and hand at Christmas really.

Adam Brand "Ate too much for Christmas"

Speaks volumes about the torture of eating your way through christmas month/day...

esp the line "wash it all down with a cup of cold sick"

I know, totally not feeling like Christmas. In fact, I keep forgetting that I need to buy some damn presents. Where are you sunshine??

My favourite song is "I wish it could be Christmas everyday" by Royy Wood and Wizzard. Because when it's good (so, not like now) I really do. A close second is Elvis' "Blue Christmas" the hubs sent me him singing it while we were living in different hemispheres and it makes me get swoony.

It would have to be "Joy to the World" because as a child I thought that song was about me, lol

The Christmas Song - I remember hearing it... 'Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...' in San Francisco in 1993, and it was cold and dark, and there were so many Christmas lights. The shop assistants were all wearing Santa hats and I thought that was so cute (hadn't seen it before). I just love the lyrics, the tune, the lot.

Have you heard 'For the Love of God' album by Tripod - v.v. funny - not your usual Christmas songs, but ones that will make you splutter your eggnog!

hope this helps you. I had awful bad breath and tonsil stones. thank god my only friend told me to check Oraltech Labs advice as it got rid of her bad breath and her post nasal drip. I've been following Oraltech Labs advice for about 4 months now and I feel much better, also at work people are not avoiding me anymore so it seems to have cured my bad breath as well, so good luck. I'm loving my 4yr olds Christmas songs at the moment. He doesn't quite know the words to jingle bells or Rudolf the red nosed reindeer and so has made them up himself - today he's been singing "jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to fly in an aeroplane hey!!"
