Street Photographer: Vivien Maier

I saw this a few weeks ago and thought I should share it. A young real estate agent bought some old negatives at an auction and unwittingly stumbled upon an unknown street photographer with amazing talent. He did some research and discovered she was a nanny, who, on her days off, walked the streets of Chicago taking photos.

Now he's started a blog sharing her prolific body of work. Pretty awe-inspiring!

WOw that is such an amazing find. What I have seen I love - how on earth did she not be noticed then???

I hope for the guy it is big. Spending that many days on that when you have to pay bills...
