I loved 'Tikki Tikki Tembo' as a child. I bought a copy for the Doctor this week. It's such a fun book to read together, with such a fun rhythm, and great illustrations.
I looooove this book! It was always my favourite as a teacher to read to the small people at school. I amde them learn the name for homework and the child who could rhyme it off with no mistakes won a prize! Tikki tikki tembo no sarembo chari bari ruchi pip peri pembo!!!!!
i did the same thing....i remember it so fondly as a child that i searched for it on amazon to get it for my kids. one of my other favorites is ping by marjorie wiese brown. i bought that one when i was preggers with the first. xo
Sure do! I have Tikki Tikki Tembo do dah do do da dada doo da do da do da running through my head now. (can't remember the rest of his name obviously, will have to track down my own copy!)
I Love it too! I read it to my kinder kids every year, and Ping as well. They promote some excellent conversations with children. I love exposing children to interesting language and ideas. New is definately not always better!
