What Do You Do?

What do you do when your day is in the poo?

I found myself in this very quandary yesterday. This very same one.

Inexplicably I found myself drawn to the kitchen. To make choc-caramel slice (Matt and the Doctor's favourite) and polka dot biscuits (Tiny's favourite).

We also played a round of Bananagrams before Tiny had a hissy fit and announced that everyone was rude. I did some work. Some washing. And folded the washing.

Life can be incredibly banal some days, but on the flip side, sometimes it's the banal that can be fulfilling (not the clothes folding though - oh man - someone save me!).

How do you fend off bad days?

I was in such a stink yesterday...a proper mood so I trotted off to bikram.

Seems to solve most of my issues.x

I find a good hour and a half at the gym calms me down, also gets me out of the house and gets those endorphins going. I also then need to follow it up with a shower, it's how this mother of a toddler in training gets some me time. Otherwise it's kitchen-laundry-computer-kitchen-playtime-grumpytime-husbands home-kitchen-cleanup-kitchen-bed. Not every day, but rut days when there's so much to do I'm in zombie mode. Today is one of those days and I'm currently computering until mr one decides its bed time.

I bake. Or else I look at vintage couches on eBay. Or else I mix myself a strong Bloody Mary. Or else I have a hot bath. The world is in a fug at the moment, I think. It must be in the stars. Or something. x

I scour house porn on real estate.com... and dream of having a little cafe ...

If you dream of a cafe check out Callala beach. We were there on the weekend, one crappy cafe for an entire beach of wealthy Sydney holiday makers. Would be a great place to get into before it booms :)
