The Sony Xperia is a neat compact unit that not only looks sleek - it can be submerged in up to one metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Plus it might look super chic - but it's got some ruggedly good traits (check out this video these crazy Germans created for vigorous phone testing - wish I understood German). Those people at Sony are smart cookies.
I've often had, how shall we say, mishaps with a wayward cup of coffee and my phone. One of my friends recently lost her phone (bless its soul) to less than a metre of water whilst she was getting out of a kayak. Ouch. If she'd had the Sony Xperia Go, she need not have shed a tear.
Having been using this phone for the past month, I can confidently say, it's easy to use, and ideal for the multi-tasking parent, adventure seeker or the accident prone. Yes. That's me. This is one phone that can take a bit of a beating. Oddly enough, the texture of the phone is a little ... rough - however I think this is a good thing, because it's not prone to slipping and sliding out of your grip like other phones.
So many times when I've been juggling dinner or bathtime I have had damp fingers and tried to use a different phone - only to realise it won't detect my finger. The Sony Xperia has scratch resistant mineral glass and a wet finger tracker - good news for me while I madly multi-task.
As a blogger, a working-mum and a mad keen social media addict, this phone makes it easy to access everything I need - and it has a 5 megapixel camera. SWEET! Battery life is pretty decent too.
It's also a really nice size - small enough to hold comfortably in your hand (it's 9.8mm thin), with a screen large enough for a good, clear image.
The good news for you friends? I have one of the sleek Sony XperiaGo handsets to giveaway. Valued at $379 - that's a sweet deal.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post answering this question:
If you only had one last phone call, who would you ring?

If I had one last phone call I'd call my daughter and tell her just how freakin' awesome she is. Ask her not to lose her amazing zest for everything she does and remind her to floss. That's what I'd do.
i'd call my mum. always.
If it was one last phone call because my death was imminent and the phone call could delay that ... I would call my best friend from high school (whom I would still consider my best friend) because we can talk for hours and hours and hours, about everything. It is possible that we could talk forever, and I could thereby delay my death. At least until I needed to pee, because that's how most of our phone conversations end!
my lovely lad in the U.K , easy peasy !
Clearly, with mere minutes till my untimely demise, I would be making calls to the devil to bargain for more time.
The Husband, Thanks for a great life baby.
Not that I have his number (though I would very much like it!): BONO. I'm quite sure I'd be too awestruck to verbalise anything. But it would be amazing. (Is it bad that I have not nominated my other half or a member of my family here? Or that in my late 30s I'm still clinging onto my teenage crush?!) Hmmm.
This site is really cool! I found here alot of information that I was looking for. I am really happy to be a part of This site!
Assuming my boys were with me I'd call ET and so how he's getting along. Has anyone got his number?
Lionel Ritchie "Hellooooo........" xx
I'm going to be soppy and say if I only had one call left if would call my daughters and hope they were both together.
I'd call Medicare. I'd want to make the most of my last phone call and considering my average time on hold currently stands at 29.31 minutes and my average time spent asking, explaining again and then re-asking my question to a 2nd and 3rd operator stands at 37.43 minutes, on averages, Medicare comes up trumps.
Ghostbusters!!!
I still feel some eerie things happening around here ...
If death were iminent and I had to decide
who last to phone before I died,
I would bypass my brothers, my mum and my dad
I'd write them a letter, I know they'd be sad.
I wouldn't call my best friend Sal,
although she is an AWESOME gal,
She'd just try to fix it, she'd do whatever she could
to make me all better, to make everything good.
I wouldn't phone up Ricky Gervais, although I'd be tempted, I'm always amazed
at how funny he is, he's witty and smart,
and a little bit mean, but always makes me laugh.
If I had to decide who last to call
it would have to be someone who'd lessen the fall.
Someone who's funny and witty and clever,
who'd make me laugh despite gloomy weather.
Someone who sings ridiculous songs
about all kinds of rot, in a tone that's all wrong.
Someone who sees me and loves me as me,
who would hike over mountains and travel the seas
to be by my side, to stand by his promise.
If I could only call one person
It would be my love Thomas.

I'd call my mobile service provider to ask why I only have one call left when I signed up for the "unlimited" plan.
My plastic surgeon. For a quick botox top up before I leave this mortoil coil.
Home, nobody ever answers the landline so I would fill the message banks with goodbyes and 'love youse' and vital reminders about homework and bin night and staying safe.
My interstate sister - so that we can have one last gabfest, chewing over all the gossip from our lives big and small. And so that we can coordinate a new method of sharing the important details of our lives since I can't use the phone anymore. Email? Boring. Letters? Too slow. Smoke signals? Probably!

I'd call St. Peter on the hotline to check my reservation for the Pearly Gates. You never know, there could be a cancellation! I'd also remind him that only the good are supposed to die young. That should get me a long reprieve!
I'd call my house phone so I could speak to my husband and all of my kids in the one phone call.
My mum because she's the last person I know who only communicates by phone. The rest I'd tweet, Facebook message, email, tweet, IM and DM!
ring you and thank you for the phone
I'd CALL myself - a goner!
Our youngest daughter; because usually she is the one who usually calls me almost every day.
I'd ring my husband and ask him to bring me up some chocolate from downstairs - it's all about priorities - has nobody heard of 'death by chocolate'!??!
Definitely my children, to say how proud I am of them.
Oh, I'm never on the same frequency as everyone else! I just thought I was going to have to stop using the phone not say my fond farewells.... So, my last call would be to my gorgeous mum in the UK as I wouldn't have to worry about being cut off for building up an astronomical bill!... and then I'd still have my beautiful Xperia to take fabulous pictures and search the internet without fear of little accidents.
Hmm, maybe my mum as she likes a chat. Hubby is always busy so the call would be over in less than a minute and I'd regret "wasting" it.
My eldest teen son who always answers his phone (even to uncool Mum, unlike his younger brother who never answers it) and I would tell him how much he is loved and what a great young man he is. I'd ask him to pass on my love to his brother and to always look out for each other. This way I know my younger son would get the message - so 2 for 1.
I would have to go a conference call to the fam bam but if that was a norti then my mum for sure...love her to bits :-)
I'd have to call my wife. I'd feel terrible having her not know what happened to me if something bad was happening. She knows how I feel about her but it'd be nice to let her know again anyway.
I'd have to ring Optus and tell them again just how terrible their phone service is so that everyone else doesn't have to continue to suffer after my dimise.
my mum, i could never go wothout saying goodbye to her :)
My home, so I could tell my Hubby and children how much I love them and that, if I can, I will be watching over them always. I would tell my Hubby to find someone wonderful to help love and raise my children, however much the thought of that may hurt me. I want him to be happy and my children, too, and guilt-free. I would tell my kids that nothing they could ever do would make me stop loving them and to never forget that. I would tell them to love and look out for one another because life is unpredictable and you never know what may happen. The greatest gift you can ever give anyone in this life and after, is the gift of knowing they were loved.
i'd call my hubby and kids on my xperia...i'd tell them to bury me with my phone so they can still text me in heaven... because that's where i'd be going if it was my last ever phone call.
Ghost Busters!!!!
The only instance where I would only have time for one call is after I've retired and made plans to constantly travel the world, so much so that a phone will be most likely be useless in comparison to other means of communication (skype, email, snail mail).
Assuming I ever reach that point, I would most likely be taking my wife with me, while my travel plans would definitely include visiting the kids/family/friends so it's unlikely that I will need to call them. This significantly narrows down who I would call, removing all whom I care about on that list... which leaves people I don't really care about.
At this point there is only one person I care enough about from the people I don't care about, and that is my uncle who told my dad I would never make it anywhere in life. Naturally, this would be a short call, with just a short few words before I hang up... "I made it"
I would call my own phone to leave a message to my very young daughter so that she could listen to how much I love her as she grows up.
I’d call a sky writer to:
S – Sign my last message
O – Of...
N – Never ending love in
Y – Yellow!
I'd ring my mum. I ring my mum about everything. I'd tell her how much she means to me and how much I love her <3
Who you gonna call? Ghost busters.
So many people assuming they only get one phone call because they're dying or something!
I'm going to assume I only get one phone call because the world is going to lose all its electricity in a few minutes. In that case, I'd have to call one of two people: either my good friend overseas whom I would no longer be able to contact except by snail mail, or the ghost of Nikola Tesla.
Since only one of those is possible, I'm gonna have to go with my pommy friend. Snail mail has its own charm, but I'd sure miss his silly accent.
This is me making myself email-able. Whoops. :D
I'd make it last by calling the phone company...guaranteed to be on hold listening to music for at least an hour!
Last phone call? Desperation would set in! I would call my telco provider and plead with them to allow me so-o-o-o many more phone calls!
I would prank call someone important... like one of Obama's phones (I presume he has thousands, so the odds of reaching him are high) and say really dumb things cos you know, it's my LASTEST EVER call...so worth a few minutes of the man's day!
Then I'll end with 'thank you for listening to my speech, you are a great leader, very powerful too...as this is my last phone call, can you please grant me a few more? I need to tell my dad I'm wearing the forbidden nail polish."
I would call a genie so he could give me three wishes, the first one would be winning the Sony Xperia Go handset, win the lottery and have unlimited calls and texts on my new phone!
My daughter to tell her how much I love her and remind her that at my funeral I want someone to come dressed up as the Grim Reaper and just stand there saying nothing, because I want the last laugh!
Only 1 phone call, better make it a good one. I think I would make it Keith Urban and have him sing to me for a while. If it's my last I'm going to make sure it's the most enjoyable phone call of my life.
I would call hubby and remind him to feed the fish!
I would call my fiance to get me a new phone because this is my last phone call on this crappy Blackberry.
Can I phone a friend thanks Eddie?
I'll lock in B please!
Congratulations, you've won a brand new Sony XperiaGo!
