Stuff You (Maybe) Never Knew About PMM

I love looking at the word searches people do that land them on PottyMouthMama, because basically I have no other hobbies other than internetting.

Here's a quick look-see at keywords that draw the punters:

- camel toe image (you classy broad, thanks for dropping by! here you can find a heck of a lot more images to tickle your fancy) BTW - technically I don't think the Alicia Keys camel toe is actually a camel toe. Just saying.
- enima kit (sic); french vintage enema bags; vintage enema bag collections
- oprah the soup bigger than new york (say what?!)
- what does it mean to sleep like a donkey? (if you find out, will you tell me too?)

Apparently my vintage bag enema kit COULD have brought me a pretty yield on eBay. Alas I tossed it out. Please stop searching my blog for enema kits. Or even French vintage enema kits. Yes I have no enema kits. I have no enema kits today.

Long Drives

I know this road by rote. I know where the road curves and highlights the perfect arc of mountain against the sky. I know where the cows take shelter when it's too hot. I know the perfect place to spot crows by the side of the road, feasting on roadkill. I know where the Highway Patrolmen take their naps while they monitor speeding cars. By heart, I know the train crossings, I know just how long it is 'til the next town. I know by each town, how long it is 'til our final destination.

We travelled this road countless times when we were growing up. To visit my grandparents. To visit family friends.

On a long drive, I can feel equal mixes of excitement, adventure, pure unadulterated giddiness and homesickness. I can feel like I am free as a bird. Possibly even freer. With a full tank of petrol, the road is our shining star, to follow it whichever way we will.

If you're travelling over Easter, travel safe.

Speeding Into Christmas: Making Paper

I did try and post this yesterday but my connection went haywire.

Take two.

I'm into making my own paper. Well not entirely. I bought a roll of brown paper at the newsagent. I painted it with speed stripes in aqua. They're wonky in a wholesome John Olsen sort of way. Rothko might even be proud.

So now I'm wrapping like a maniac to get everything posted to Perth on time.

However, on the subject of (w)rapping. Did anyone catch 'Aussie Battlers' last night on ABC? It was great. Modern day poets. I've been practising my own:

'Some days your breath smells so bad
They can smell it all the way over in Baghdad'

What do you think? For reals. My MC name could be PottyMouthMama. Battling in an amphitheatre near you.
