Day 1:: Frocktober - All Systems Go For SEQUINS

So I hit $1000 and I am now wearing sequins. Sequins for day 1 my friends. And I even fake tanned for the occasion. And painted my nails. And applied lipstick. Hellz yeah, I am getting fancy pants. Actually not pants. NO NO NO! Say no to pants. I am getting fancy frocks! Frocktacular.

You can well imagine me at work today in sequins. Really. Really subtle.  But this dress is one of my all-time favourites and is happy for a jaunt out and about, even if it is just to the photocopier.

Sponsor me here please! Tomorrow I'm going to bring it. If I hit $1500 I wear my ugliest dress.

Dress: Zimmermann
Shoes: Country Road
Jacket: Vintage
Mani: Hello Darling Dark & Stormy

What is Frocktober? I'm raising awareness and money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. Ovarian cancer is an insidious disease, often known as a “silent-killer” as symptoms are vague and often strike without warning. Unlike many other cancers there is no early detection test.  Consequently ovarian cancer is often diagnosed in its late stages and only 20%-30% of woman survive beyond five years as compared to a 80-100% survival rate when detected early.

Good work. I started my own Frocktober today too, I struggled on day one. Onwards and upwards though, because Ovarian Cancer needs to frock off.
