My very good friend is getting married. If ye are she, then don't read on.
If you are not, then read on and please, gimme some feedback.
I'm embroidering onto a handkerchief. A little old school I know, but I thought, perhaps a little romantic, a little whimsical. I hope you don't say naff, that's not an adjective I want to be hearing! Oh and I am doing it in their wedding colours to tie it all in.
So I got a little scared about the initials, so am leaving them 'til last (hey why not work backwards?!). I bordered it with chain stitch, and have done the wedding date.. It's a little wonky I know, but is it endearing, or just plain ugly/wonky?
Help a bridesmaid out.
PS - Don't forget my giveaway. You can still enter. You can still help me declutter my house (I promise, no dustballs for you!).

I think that is a sweet and precious gesture. I would love to be given that by a friend...very sweet..xx
it's a great idea...email me and i'll send you a link to a site that may give you a few ideas
looks good to me - not naff at all. Keep going I say
i'm getting married and I would love one of my bridesmaids made me something like that I would be delighted! Something she could tuck into her dress on the day and then keep forever! and that could then be her "something blue"
I think that is the loveliest thing that you could do for a best friend.
Not naff at all. Only mildly wonky, but endearingly so! KEEP GOING - looks fantastic. The love involved in a handmade gift is priceless.
That's the kind of present that would make me cry. (Just to be clear they are tears of joy!) I couldn't think of a sweeter gift. Not naff in the slightest.
Definitely naffless/un-naff/anti-naff. What a beautiful idea. It will be a very special momento.
How nice that you thought to even make something for them rather than buying them a picture frame or candle stick holder- which I think are the gifts you give when you don't know the person at all- in wchih case you shouldn't be going to the wedding... i think it looks great!
I love it, wonkiness is a must. But, wow, you aren't a procrastinator like me...10 months to work on it, color me impressed!
It's a lovely thought to give something handmade. She's be crazy not to appreciate the gesture and you've got a great start.
I think it's a really sweet and lovely idea. A handmade gift to treasure for years to come. And your friend will think of you every time she blows her nose!
as you said to me recently: embrace the wonk!
I think it's an adorable, sweet gift.
