a duck - see the bill? wild!
We gave the Doctor a chalk marker to draw on the windows. Some people might think we're asking for trouble, grooming our own little graf artist, but we see it as a little art gallery in our house. He's been decorating the windows madly drawing us, the dog, the cat, the ducks. Oh man. Do you know how exciting it is to see his figurative work evolve? Damn exciting. I love those little figures. In fact, I am hooked on them. I am always asking him to do me artworks because they are so damn clever.
On another front, how beautiful is this new clip from Sia? Shadow play and sign language, colour and cool. She's a clever AUSSIE gal. I know you love it. And this old clip is one of my all time favourites.

I love Sia....Breathe Me is one of my favourites too. I just downloaded her new album last week from iTunes...fabulous.
It's just like having your own personal stained glass artist in residence!
I love the drawings, we found some in the cutlerly drawer this morning but we're still at the squiggley circle stage.
cutlery.
My Mum who used to be an art teacher says that style of kids picture is called 'haptic' which is seen in the more creative young dudes. Might have an artist on your hands there..
What a wonderful idea! Just brilliant. His works are fab - I can see them being stitched perhaps>
This is such a cool idea - those art works are AMAZING! so beautiful ... hey at least if it does encourage a little later life public doodling on white trains - at least it will be cool graffiti not just 'the Doc waz 'ere' - something a mama can be proud of!
oh i love! i love this stage when the long long long leggies come right out of their big round smiley faces. and that duck! really?! can't wait to see more. i'd love to see what he does with a canvas on some paints.
love, lindsay
I love the graffiti artist! I wonder with Poppy lining up stickers up her arm if I should be surprised when she comes home with a tattoo sleeve in 16 years time.
theya re great- maybe you could copy them onto fabric and stitch them?? They would look gorgeous as a cushion I think.
ok, i did it & they loved it
but it is a PAIN to get off
maybe it just stuck to all the dirt on the glass :-(
i am madly passionate about winter's drawing too. he goes through little bursts of interest, drawing on the windows would certainly inspire some extra interest! i often have to really hassel him to do something figurative but when he does it makes my day. looks like the doctor is on a roll yay!
ps love the stitching suggestions
