Boombastic Is Back

Brilliant news to the max. Boombastic is back.

Last night, once the smalls were in bed, I started doing a wee tidy up. I put away a few things, as Mamas are prone to do, and while putting away some coasters, I opened a b(e)arly (sic) used drawer and who should I find? Teddy Boombastic up to tricks and teddy yoga in the drawer. Check him out.

So I popped him into bed with the Doctor (who was fast asleep) with a tag that read:

Hello Doctor,
I am happy to be back from my beary cold holiday.
Love your bear-st friend,
Boombastic x

This morning the Doctor came in while I was still out to it. He said: 'Mum, this bear has the same eyes as Boombastic.' I open my eyes. Barely conscious. Blink. Blink. 'But dear Doctor, that is Boombastic, the one and the same.' Disbelief by the Doctor, questions, where has he been? Where did you find him? Is this really Boombastic?

I explained away Boombastic's absence by explaining his deep penchant for honey and biscuits, and the fact that Boombastic had gone off in search of honey and a holiday. And maybe mugs of bear. Oh I mean bee-r.

The real explanation - I've no idea why he was shoved into a drawer. But it may have the same explanation as Tiny's dolly's clothes being shoved into a teapot in the cupboard. Tiny does like to do these things.

Boombastic is back people. I'm not going to let him out of my sight.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!! I don't think electronic tagging and a GPS system for Bombastic would be over reacting at this stage.

Looks like July is trying to redeem itself, with only days to spare. What other good can come of this one must wonder. And come some of it come over to my place?

Hah! The Doctor was RIGHT! Tiny did it. He knew all along. Canny, detective mind (and pointing finger) that he has. You have ONE smart kid there. And yes Tiny you are also smart too - very very good hiding spot! I love a happy ending! xx

Hooray! How great.

Things get squirreled away by our little miss too. You can never be sure where the remote control will end up.

yay! you could get one of those car key finder tags and button thingy, each time you press it he will let off some beeps and give away his location. Unless the button thingy ends up doing yoga in a drawer too. hmm..

Brilliant news! I had visions of one appearing on eBay and lots of us bidding against each other to secure it for the Doctor! So glad that he's back where he belongs!

Hooray- so happy Boobbastic is back from his adventures, a health retreat maybe? with all that flexi yoga going. A lovely reward for a cleaning Mumma.

That's such great news!
As well as actually losing the great Mr Fox, here are some places that Moo has put him for 'safe' keeping: washing machine, inside a spare handbag in the wardrobe, rubbish bin, inside a pillow case, inside a gumboot, behind the curtains... I could go on but I'll just leave you with those future hiding possibilities for Tiny!

Bearilliant news. I love your explanation. We tell such tall tales to our children and they just lap up the wonder.

I cried when I read this. When we were little my brother's panda went missing. It was gone for yonks....maybe even years. We found it in the bread crock that we no longer used. I then remembered playing a game and hiding it there. Ooops!

Yay! I wonder how long Doctor was examining Boombastic's eyes, before he brought him into you? hehehe. I love the scene in my head of the early morning interrogation.
