You Got A Sooki Baby? GIVEAWAY!

I am banging my head against the keyboard trying to get work done while the Doctor keeps asking me questions and telling me he wishes he could have yet another choc chip cookie. Anyone that thinks working from home is a holiday (but you have the fridge right there!, you're at home - awesome, it must be blissful being at home all day, but you get to work in your pyjamas!*) seriously, you can come over here and come and headbutt the keyboard with me. I need a lifeline.

But today, the lifeline is yours. A pretty giveaway. SOOKI BABY are giving three PMM readers the chance to win a babywear piece each.

All you have to do is comment on this post and tell me what size (between 0-2) you'd like to win.

Dijana Dotur (designer of SOOKI BABY) started the quirky label at home. With two small kids. I wonder if she headbutted her keyboard some days too?

* I don't work in my pyjamas. Nor swimsuit. Ever.

Oh I so hear you on the working from home thing. I end up doing laundry in my lunch break, and don't have the perks of good coffee and adult conversation that working in the city offered...

I'd take a Size 2 :)

Gosh, does the Dr want to put bandaids on your head when you bang it on the keyboard? Size 1 would tickle my fancy! Cute stuff.

Everyone says working from home is the way to go, but heck, it's good to get away from the place too.

I'd love a size 0.

Size 2 for us! I love their stuff - great quality. We have a top with a picture of a kangaroo that says 'frog?' on it. Makes me laugh every time I see it. Also the "I AM NOT AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF" top. Very cute.

I'm on my maternity leave at the moment with dreams of giving up teaching and starting a textiles business from home (with some journal writing also). Am I being ambitious???? I dream of pj's, babies round my ankles and dinner in the oven whilst working at the computer.
Hmmmm... maybe I should put some cushioning on the keyboard now?
I would love a size 1, good luck x

I had to buy a coffee machine to distract me from head butting my keyboard anymore. Now I hit away in a caffine-induced state. (LOVE Sooki Baby, my little boy LIVED in the stuff and has one of their size 2 pieces now, but they are snapped up SOO quick at our local retailer).

How people make a success of a home based business while raising children is beyond me! I can't cope with a few orders a week let alone launching something as successful as the sooki brand. It takes amazing organisation and passion, both of which I think I am lacking!

Smallest size would be lovely...

It's so hard. And I understand why everybody thinks it would be so easy and perfect cause that's what we all damn thought too! Am thinking about getting a teenage babysitter for a couple of hours in the arvo so I can write in the caravan.

Size 2 pls Lexy.

We have a few sooki babes here who make getting any kind of work (paid or otherwise) impossible. My size 2 would love a new sooki to go with her attitude.

I have no bubba, but I certainly feel your pain... sometimes I think it's like being trapped... I get so excited at the markets on the weekend because I get to talk to actual human beings!

Thanks for your comments on my blog too, so good to hear from pro-imagination people!

Doing anything at home when you've got smalls is hard let alone working. I'm just lucky that my Master 1.75 still sleeps about 3 hours a day. Phew. I take my hat off to ya.

Thanks for the giveaway PMM. I'm thinking a size 2 would be fabulous oh and I have a boy. Just in case ya need to know.

Cheers!

Sometimes I'm so jealous when hubby gets to go to work. He leaves the house, wears clean clothes and smelling nice, talks to adults, gets time to himself but best of all...he gets to go to the bathroom by himself!!
Imagine such luxury.

Cute, cute, cute, size 2 please.

This afternoon I was unwashed, unbrushed and un-made-up and in my trackies when I bundled my 20mth old into the car for drive thru coffee and donuts. Just because I felt like coffee. I love the anonymity of drive thrus on days when I am too busy working to take care of me.

Yup - I headbutt keyboards, too. I not only try to work from home (often in pj's) but ALSO take the little one with me to work. How's THAT for being a glutton for punishment?

Anyhoo - a size 0 would be amazing.

Jade said...

Oh I can imagine - it's never easy like people think!

I love Sooki baby clothing too - size 2 would be awesome for us :) I have a very cool little safari suit with sunny's and keys drawn on that I love to put on Jett!

(now my husband can really see what I do at home all day!)

the bad thing about working from home..you can't escape it sometimes!
size 2 would be fab ♥

Sherrin said...

No. Working from home is not easy. I totally get where you are coming from. I reckon it's harder. A lot harder- especially when you throw small people into the equation!

(I'd love a SZ1 (for the last longer factor!) for a small person who is soon to be born... would be such a lovely thing to gift.)

i hear you pmm; i know all about the working from home thing as it was my life for about three years before we set up an office elsewhere. i found keeping the house quiet while making phonecalls the hardest....and resisting distractions of the domestic kind.
size 2 would be delightful!
thanks for the giveaway op. x

working from home means you don't really get a tea-break because you're always squeezing in little bits & pieces....at least that's what I found (plus a lot of LATE nights getting stuff done)

I digress....I just bought that kombi SOOKI baby outfit for a friend's babe, but with babies everywhere at the moment I'll put my hand up for another....ummm....size 1.

Any time you want to discuss the plan of working full time form home while supervising children and keeping the house in some assemblance of order, please ring - because I am realising how much of a stupid plan it is. If I don't answer though it is because I am asleep.
Size 2 for the Pop-inator would be cool

Black Eyed Susie said...

I may start headbutting my sewing machine soon. The only way I get anything done is to completely ignore the fact that I'm totally surrounded by chaos and totally ignore the need to produce dinner. Lucky I have an understanding hubbie.

Size O for Arj would be soooo cool. Hearing that Sooki started from home is very inspiring!

So Now What? said...

I would like to compare my work from home (computer) to say, my husbands work from home (tough manly manual labour) and how he fails to see that mine is just as important and no I can't get the kids a fucking juice as I am in the middle of some important shit. Just as important as yours DARLINK! K Rant over. Soz about the swearing.
