Ends

Yesterday was the Doctor's end of year Christmas concert/sing-a-long at pre-school. I signed up to bake cupcakes, foolishly so, why did I commit to making so many cupcakes so early in the morning. I know better next year (just jokes, I love making and baking cupcakes, a little patty pan of joy in each one).

In the lead up to the concert the Doctor had very animatedly demonstrated his moves. The lyrics. It was big stylie exciting in our house. I was excited, and also feeling a bit sad. I still can't quite pinpoint it, but I felt that stinging of tears whenever I thought of it.

Is it because my big boy was finishing his first year of pre-school?

I don't know, but yesterday was so exciting for him. Three of his grandparents came to watch him, along with Matt, Tiny and I. There was standing room only. It was a sell out.

On another front, my Mum was a little shocked to see Tiny wearing an outfit she had made for her. It's pictured above. My Mum said 'But it's pyjamas!' Trust me Mum, too pretty for PJs, all that work is too pretty to be hidden in the darkness. Plus, Tiny digs the whole ensemble, she doesn't want to take it off!

A bittersweet day for you. It's not fair they grow up so fast.

That top is way too sweet to be hidden away that's for sure.

That stingy tears thing? Just another of those frequent curve balls you're never warned of in advance. Gets me every time. Sniff.

I feel so sad that my little man is starting kindy next year. I would like him to stay here with me forever, but unless I want him to grow up like Bad Boy Bubby, then he better go.
Tiny's outfit - oh my stars. You are so right! Far too good for pj's. The detail is amazing.
And your hubby reminds me of Sam Worthington.

My eldest is finishing pre-kindy this Friday (and turned 4 on the 15th) and .. yeap ... all that stinging feeling of tears is here, too. Although I still have 2 littlies to watch going to kindy, it's sad to FEEL the time goes waaaay too fast!

I volunteered to cook Christmas cookies for our pre school concert and turned up empty handed because they burnt. Bad mother alert. Oh and the stinging eyes were in full swing too. God knows how I'll cope next year when she's off to big school.

And totally with you on Tiny's oufit - way too cool for the dark. In fact wondering if I can get away with wearing my pj's all day today too ....

In all my crazy busy-ness I missed Tiny's birthday! So happy belated birthday to her! I'm suddenly realising you and I might have co-ordinated our baby having without even knowing it ... :)

I adore that look on his face. He looks like he's going to bubble over the top of his glass.

I can feel the sting in my eyes too by just reading your post. I know I'll feel that too in a couple of years.

The top is really cute to be hidden. Love it.
