CrackerJACKS!

Who turned up the heat? Who? Sheesh! It is hawt. Ridiculously so.

Sweltering Sydney. Rainy one day, stinking hot the next.

There you go Clover, there's our new marketing campaign. I am so hawt I am sweating up a storm, and it's not even a glow, it's more a wilted flower sweaty betty-ness.

This afternoon the smalls are in the bath. Fighting over soap. Who woulda thunk it? We don't have soap in the bath often. Might sound weird, but with eczema in the family we tend to use QV Oil or Alpha Keri. So they're fighting over a beautiful block of handmade soap. It smells so good I will not disturb them!

Tonight we're heading out to Joe Frost's Drawing & Painting show at Watters Gallery. Joe is a swell guy, so if you get a chance to check out his show, do. If you come along, say hello. I'll be the one doing circus tricks with two sweaty but sweet smelling smalls.

You said it - it is ridiculously hot! I have been considering moving back to England because Im not sure how much more of this crappy sweaty weatherI can take - or how many more of the comments from my oh, so very funny (slightly younger) workmates who ask me every time i complain about the heat "are you going through the change Amanda". Hilarious guys I work with huh!

I hear you sista, we've had the air con going all day today. To think, I was actually excited for summer!

It's nuts, isn't it? NUTS. (The weather that is, not the art - the art is not nuts).

It has been so humid here in ye olde Melbourne that my hair is out of control. I have been walking through doors sideways.
Then tomorrow it's going to be 16 on our hill. It's like menopause weather - hot then cold, then hot then cold.....

We are a QV household too. Mr Cohen has very sensitive skin and we filled a small truck with all the products we tried before a sweet little old pharmacist told us to go the way of QV. Phew. Now if only we could get rid of his heat rash and stop using the pinetarsel, it does not smell like homemade soap.

I love exhibition openings. We used to go every week while I was at Uni and living in the city, but the Gold Coast doesn't have the same appreciation for the arts I am afraid. It is all bikinis and fake tans and not so much the fine art. Have fun at the exhibition, looks really interesting. :)

Im so O V E R this heat too. They promised us a storm and all we got was drizzle for 10 minutes. (I love a good downpour with wind attached) I spent the day with friends and we were happily sipping champagne celebrating my up coming move when her air con started to smell like burning plastic. It switched itself off luckily but it didnt take long for us to all start sweating like pigs. What joy!

Ah the heat – the heat! I know what you mean. We live in an un-airconditioned loft apartment and it ain't fun. But I think I just felt the southerly... (I am happy I got to do all my washing though... is that sad?) xx
