Neeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooooow.

I had my first day back in the office today, and I must tell you, I liked it. A whole lot. I didn't want to leave. Of course I wanted to come home to my smalls, but my time there seemed to go so fast, I am looking forward to next week back in the office.

One thing that came out of my day in the office was that I am 'a very good driver'. High five myself in the mirror!

This came about because I managed to manouevre our car into a particularly tight spot in the heart of tight spots, Surry Hills.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if they make an Australian version of Top Gear, I WANT IN! I'd like to drive a Lotus and say it corners like it's on rails. I love those driving adventures they embark on.

And here's the clincher:

I always drive around on empty for as long as I can. I love the adrenaline this creates in my mundane life. I mean people, how crazy can you get, I drive my car around when the empty light is on for as long as I can! I drive it. For as long as I can. I'll say it again slowly. I drive. My car. Around. When the empty light. Is on. For as long. As I can.

High five myself in the mirror!

If that's not a clincher I don't know what is. I could be the new Stig.

You hear that TV producers? I am ready and waiting.

Oh you are bold! As soon as the empty light comes on I am at the station refilling. Sometimes even before the light comes on.

You are truly an adrenaline junkie!

Glad you had a good day at the office. Did you get to wear heels? Lunch at Bills?

Did you know they did make a Top Gear Australia but I'm pretty sure it got the axe after 2 seasons? Daddy BuBbles even went to the filming of an episode once...

ha ha, I do exactly the same thing driving my car on empty for as long as possible... but usually because I feel like I don't have time to stop for petrol. Your excuse is exciting, mine is sad.

I loathe to the power of loathe filling up and drive around with the light on for as long as I can stretching out every last fume till my husband gets in on the weekend so that he can fill it up. It is a rush though and I date say my luck will run out soon.

Yah to parking and a day in the real world. I take it you got a babysitter then.

Woohoo! Livin' on the edge.
We do that too but have recently RUN OUT OF PETROL twice A LONG WAY FROM THE SERVO and worst of all WITHOUT AN NRMA MEMBERSHIP. I think I am cured of seeking that particular high. Now I'm all about reverse parallel parking in ONE MOVE. Yeah baby!

Rob loves to do this too. I hate it. The worst time was when we were in Auckland and he was playing the empty light game in a traffic jam, we didn't even know where the next servo was and I was busting to visit the little girls room! We did get there, BUT he won't try it again when I have a full bladder!

I'm with you on the driving with the empty light on, sometimes for days. I also pride myself on parking in the smallest spot possible. If there are 2 spots to pick from I will always pick the tightest. Gotta get your thrills where you can I say!
