If you didn't catch The Ball (a film by Jessica Leski) on ABC on Monday night, I implore you to check it out online.
It is one of those films that is inspiring, funny, had me crying, joyful and just beautiful.
You can read more about it on The Design Files. And watch it here. Thanks to my sister for drawing my attention to it!
To run the gauntlet of an old cliche, if you only watch one thing this year watch The Ball. It's incredible.

As a mother of a child with a disability....I LOVED it...CRIED..LAUGHED...I thought I was just Magical!!!
Thanks for the tip! I'm going to check it out!
wasn't it just! Was certainly one of the best things I've seen in a while.
Well that definitely looks like one for the Waffler Files, I will click and look, I totally will :)
I missed it the other night so watched it on catch up last time- how fab. I work in the disability sector and a lot of the time those types of films/docos are really cheesy and only reinforce negative stereotypes. This one was lovely- gentle and funny, joyous and celebratory. Today is International Day of People with a Disability by the way!
sobbed the whole way through this. what an amazing film!
