Everyday I'm Shuffling

So as promptly as I posted about eating more salads and stuff, I fell off the apple-cart, grabbed an ultra late lunch at 4pm which was take-away because I was in the middle of nowhere, completely and utterly famished and about to commit a heinous starvation-induced crime, and this was the only option. I didn't succumb to a big fat-drenched burger, but pasta with a caramel slice chaser. Oops. Someone scrape me up off the footpath and put me back on my high-horse.

My Mum is still here helping us out, and she's been an amazing help. A God-send. To come home to two happy little peeps, a house smelling of something great in the oven, and ironing done - I feel like I've gone to Utopia. Thank you Mum.

What's your Utopian experience right this very second? Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. Right now.

OOOOH - Winner of the Nintendo DS and LEGO Ninjago is.... Mrs Smith aka Si-lent Butviolent, Master of Stealth and Scent. So many good entries though gals, thank you for playing, and hopefully I'll have something else rad to give away soon! Promise.

image from Ben Quilty's beautiful and inspiring website. I love those rich slathers of oil paint so much I could eat it.

This very minute - to not be working. Sewing, sleeping and happy babes would be utopian, yes indeed

Peanut butter and strawberry jam in a bowl (talk about falling of the wagon!) and two thirds of my workload down. Cherrie

This second? Enjoying the warthog love on my blog and revelling in the glow of a day spent with eight 8/9 yr olds who have played cricket well.

After living in our newly renovated house for 4 weeks with NO furniture, my new sofa and bed arrived today. Finally! Somewhere to sit... HUZZAH!

right this minute....I just got the fire going from burnt out embers. I am like a fire-starter. It's a gift.

Three glorious hours to myself this morning. Coffee, breakfast, a solo drive with Deb Cameron on the radio and a rummage at a giant op shop.

It's left me with the ability to laugh through a tanty and hold an adult conversation. For today only.

I love pasta to bits. And the place down the road does the best caramel slice ever. I'll bring you some. This weekend? xxx

OHMIGAWD! Are you kidding me? We won!? That is the height of awesomeness ( and coming home to a Mum-managed household gives it a bloody good run for it's money). My mini Ninja is going to spontaneously combust when this arrives. Thank you so much PMM. From a young man who will not be able to believe his luck!

nothing utopian right now - my hands are so cold, there is a breeze in this house even with all the damn windows closed!! You have such a rad mum, so good for your kiddies to have her around! xxx

I am loving your blog! I had a fantastic Utopian experience of my own just dating my hubby tonight. Wine, dinner and loose talk.
