When Life Hands You Lemons

I'm not even going to pretend.

The last few weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster. And I really want to get off it, pronto.

My Mum is sick. And I'm worried.
Work is stressful. And I'm not coping.
I miss spending time with my smalls.
Some a$$hole broke my rearvision mirror - and 5 others in our street
The kids fetes are on - stress. Baking. Donating. It's never ending.
And Matt's show opens this weekend.
Right this minute, I've drunk half a bottle of wine (yep, way to control stress) and I'm dancing to this.

How are you holding up? For realz, I want to know.
And so what I was going to say is: when life hands you lemons, make a peach and raspberry tart to sell at the preschool fete. Ok? (Trust me, it's easy)

Oh Lexi. Sorry you've had such a shitty week. I hope everything is ok with your mum. I'm having my own little meltdown at the moment but after reading what's been going on in your neck of the woods I should just quite my whinging and get on with it. Cheer up Charlie. Tomorrow is only a day away. xx

Sounds like a rough week. Hope the weekend is fantastic for you to make up for it!

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and my husband is in Singapore for work so I've been a crazy over-emotional pregnant lady this week. Surely this means next week will be better, right?

Im sorry to hear about your mum, that's not good news at all. I reckon Sophie is on the right track. And I always find a big drink with lots of ice always makes things better too.

Sounds like a bad week, but I am loving your coping techniques. At my house there is wine too, and also the same song getting played loudly and on repeat. It must be a great way to unwind.

Me - busy busy busy. Kids sport 4 nights a week, new job position that I have been thrown it to and lots of study to go with it and personal paperwork coming out of my ears.

But when you need to, out all the problems to the side, hang with your smalls and laugh with them and use those coping techniques to the extreme!!!

HAVE A HAPPY NEXT WEEK!!! XX

Thanks for the invite to Matt's exhibition. I totally forgot until just then. That's testimony to my week - weeks - and weeks to come. I'd like off too. My partner is working tomorrow, the third week of working weekends, and I am draggin' my arse back and down the train line between home and work and then home and then work and then home and then work and I haven't seen one of the kids for several days. Oh God, I am rambling. Good luck. Best wishes to ya ma and here's hoping it all gets better asap.

Lex, hope you and your mum are ok. This time of year always seems to get crazy. We're in the shit too, and I can't bake! What to do?!

Seriously though, anything I can do to help let me know. Thinking of you guys and good luck with the exhibition. xx

Oh Lex, so sorry to hear about your Mum. I hope she gets well soon. x

What kind of idiot breaks side mirrors?! How annoying. I hope someone catches them in the act and breaks their arm!

Hang in there hun. It's always darkest before the dawn.
