From the Adventures of Thrifty the Wonder Mama

I found some other cuties the other day on my thrifting adventures. It's funny. Well not laugh out loud funny, maybe not even funny, perhaps just peculiar. I do the rounds of the shop, then go for a second round. Usually on the first round I come up empty handed. The second round is when I yield the goodies. I get bamboozled on the first round, second round I'm calm, I know the field I am playing and I can relax and really look.

I found these beauties for just 2 clams.

I was thinking of making them into something (because let's face it, when it comes to making things I am *ahem* the bomb with my exemplary track record), given whoever made them put so much work into them, I wanted to continue their journey, but then my sister gave me the super idea to frame them. Enjoy them as they are. They're pretty spectacular no matter which way you look at them.

Fun!

I think they'd look fab in a white frame.

I am all for framing fabric/ crafty stuff- it makes it look even more special than these already do- nice find by the way.

Having just survived a slightly frustrating crochet-a-thon I can vouch for the makers of those - FRAME 'EM, PUT A SPOTLIGHT ON 'EM!

Framing sounds like a great idea, or even sew onto a bag, or maybe I'm just thinking that cause that's what I'm up to,it is nice to have special finds on display!

Cute. I see them sewn up into a little halter top for the littles, sew them all together to form sort flat top triangle shape and then just attach some ribbon at neck and round the back or use elastic, or button and loop.
