Crafting with the Smalls

Today at PMM we've been keeping busy by getting our hands dirty. We were going to come at you and talk kiddie craft, and yet - it would seem highly hypocritical given that a certain someone started eating the freshly made playdough. And not one to be put off by a high salt content, she then went on to taste test the red watercolour paint.

Therefore our crafty content of the day resulted in me trying to get as much of the paint out of a certain someone's mouth without a) being bitten and b) causing a certain someone to gag and thus vomit. And then one did what one could only be expected to do in such a situation, one called the Poisons Information Line just to be certain that a certain someone was not going to sprout an additional head or start talking in tongues (when a certain someone's tongue was already bright red due to a certain someone's desire to digest some red pigments).

And then I spoke to Matt and mentioned the incident whereby a certain someone ate a certain paint product to which he replied, 'well I wouldn't eat it', and I replied 'yes, well you're not 20 months old, are you?'

So it is that our kiddie craft went wayward, the Doctor curled up on the couch with a suspected ear infection, and a certain someone whisked off to downtown lunch-ville and then to bed to sleep off any red pigment related craziness.

And, well you may wonder why in tarnation one PMM would have this image on her blog? I wonder the same, but in keeping with craziness and paint pigments, I present this. And you can click through here to see more Dogue than Vogue images.

It's ok PMM. My son ate a dog poo nugget when he was 17 months.
The only person gagging was me. That night I had one extra glass of wine.

Oh dear. Hope Tiny comes off unscathed and the Doctor's ear is feeling better soon. Caleb put a dead spider in his mouth at about 11 months and popped a mostly alive cricket around 20 months. mmnice.

On no! Stop it, I am going to pee my pants. I love the way you tell stories!

I just pulled something out of the 8 month olds mouth and I have a) no clue what it is or b) no clue where he got it from! Not to mention that he is an ear infection magnet.

Wishing you the best from one who used to eat playdough too....

The Little One is the same age. I thought they'd be past it by now?

Yesterday at Spotlight, perched on the cutting counter, she put a handful of pins in her mouth. I didn't even realise, until she got that tight lipped smirking "i've got something naughty in my mouth" look on her face...

Off the wall pics funny mama, are you sure that you didn't try a wee nip of red watercolour water too ? Hope the Doctor recoups quickly, no joy in ear infections. x

Ah, one of those days, lady? There's one of those scheduled in for me tomorrow – I'm due one. Even the trip to the supermarket with the two year old was uneventful. Except for the bit where we narrowly escaped catastrophe when the kid in the shopping trolley knocked over the stack of glass jars, then pointed her finger at me and screamed "How DARE you!".

Hope the kids are okay - I had too stop making playdough because Chloe kept eating it - I love the pictures but I think that's why we have a turtle - otherwise - in a time of boredom - I might be tempted to do that to a dog!

I don't know about Matt, I think that paint wating may be inherited so lets just blame him and move on. I bet the paint was even better on the other side too
