The Doctor & His Cush

Something spectacular happened today. Something out of the ordinary. Something so exciting I almost feel like singing songs very much out of tune. Are you ready? Are you perched on the edge of your seat?

Today I went to see my sister about a cush. Not just any cush. The cush that has been in the works for a couple of months. It was looming over me, and the Doctor had mentioned it and I just needed to finish it. Well actually, I just needed her to finish it.

So here 'tis. The Doctor will arrive home from pre-school and I'll not spill a word. I like it best when he notices small things such as these himself. Or else I get too excited and just tell him. I'm like that you know.

Please note Boombastic and Ned are the best of friends and are hanging out on the bed waiting ever so patiently for bedtime.

But here's a warning for sisters of the world. When stitching, it's a good thing to pay attention and not commence nattering. In the latter picture the cush is upside down. Can you tell what's wrong with this here dear cush?

That is a beautiful cushion - it's so what my sister and I would do! Especially if it was wine time!

I bet the Doctor was just tickled pink with his cush (not to mention the warm welcoming committee. Well done.

I love your cush. It's gorgeous.
The word cush reminded me of Jack singing about his tush on Will and Grace....
Hey, mon frère, if your derriere could use a little cush, no need to pout, the word is out. It's Jack's Subway Tush!

I'm having a moment.

Now if you were me, you'd be getting all fidgety-like waiting for bedtime and then you'd just have to invent a series of excuses to prompt spontaneous kid cush discovery...

That cush is super duper and I am new to all this sewing stuff so I can't actually see what is wrong with it? Although that could also have something to do with taking you up on the wine tip (the four o'clock chardonnay) and having a glass with dins. You are not wrong kiddo it is sen-bloody-sational! Even the guy at Vintage Cellars said so!
Hope you let us know about the Doctor's response!

I love that cushion, ( and I'm grooving on the love in of Bombastic and Ned thank you) and I can't see anything wrong with it. I love that house print fabric, is that vintage? xo

Sweet dreams Dr, I bet you are having lots with your 2 stuffed friends and the extra special mum love in a square.
The fact it is a little imperfect just makes it a little more special.
Caleb keeps asking me about his quilt too, they so love it at this age, the special "just for you" moments.
