My oh my, while our UK and US friends are freezing their little hineys off, we're sweltering the Summer away. Some may have been whining about the strange change in weather, the grey, drizzle and cabin fever (not me! no! no!), so Summer has returned to us with a vengeance. Go outside and sizzle. I feel so hot we could eat tripe for dinner. Mine. Cooked in body. Delicious.
So I am safe in my house, which feels as though it's pretty well a hothouse anyway. I could be breeding some beautiful butterflies in here.

yes isn't it boiling!!!!!!!!!! I managed a dip in the pool but it was hot hot hot when you weren't in it! Seems so strange to see the british snowed in!

Honestly! You lot whine more than the English about the weather.
I don't know what all the fuss is about, your temp is only rising by 2 degrees up to 43C. We have had a temperature increase of 5 degrees in the last 12 hours.
It is now lovely and toasty at -.5 here now ;-)
After seeing how short the Northern hemisphere summer was via some blogs I vowed not to whinge this summer ... and that lasted until the first really hot day. Hate hate hate it!! Like you we have battened down the hatches and are stuck (to the sofa) inside our non air-conditioned place waiting for the cool change ... waiting ... waiting ...
That teddy is soooo cute but dang it, I missed it!
