The 1234 Project

If Facebook was a country, it would be the third largest country in the world. Most of us have a Facebook account, yes?

And in Australia alone, for a number of reasons (abuse, drug addiction, mental illness, personal tragedy) there are thousands and thousands of homeless people every single night. Every single night. Think about it.

So that is why I am going to tell you about this awesome project that I learnt about over at Evie's Handmade Romance. It's an important one, so listen up.

Sensis have teamed up with Mission Australia. If you have a Facebook page I urge you to click over and 'Like' The 1234 project, because each time someone clicks 'Like' they'll donate a pair of socks to a homeless person. They're already up to almost 2,500 pairs of socks, but they're target is 12, 340 pairs. Sock it to 'em ladiez!

Awesome! I'm not a facebooker - but I'm totally passing that on to those who do.
