Think Of Me Tomorrow

For tomorrow friends, I am facing something every parent dreads. The Toy Sale.

I wouldn't ordinarily be this brave. But I am facing up to my fears tomorrow as my sweet little Doctor has been saving really hard for a really long time to buy some Lego.

Tomorrow, not only will I be throwing my body amongst the hoardes of bargain-hungry parents, but I will also be carrying the Doctor's money box with me, and counting out every single one of those sweet hard-earned coins with him. I suggest if you see us, don't line up behind us, we'll be there for a while. Well that's if we ever make it to the counter. Wish us luck.
By the way - did you ever see James May's Lego House from BBC? Amazing. Incredible. I love clever people.

James May is my favourite from Top Gear. He's the dorky one with floral shirts...and who doesn't like a dork in floral?
Good luck tomorrow. You are brave.

We stocked up earlier this month for the Rooster's birthday. He was hovering between the police station at Kmart and the fire station at Big W. The decision of which to buy came down to which store had the shortest queue.

Thank God for the grannies who make a little boy's dreams come true!

Lego rules at our house - the kids would play with it 24/7 given a chance. Other kids come to play and see the 3 shelves high lego display in the lounge room and go "whoohoo". But the loose, unsorted pieces build up and we have a major banning of lego if-you-don't-sort-it-out-NOW session about every month or 2. Highly recommend the Fischer divided storage boxes from Bunnings for sorting and storage! If only they would remember to put the bits back IN the boxes...

The only way to do the toy sale, is to get up at 5am and head on down. There is no-one there and it is a pleasure to shop, the shop assistance are usually a bit drunk from tiredness but happy that the initial rush is over and are stealing themselves for the onslaught at 8.30 after school drop off. I have forgone the experience this year as we didn't get a toy catalogue in the mail so there has been no pestering from any one. They can play with the hundreds of toys they already have and my son has enough lego to last a life time (still made I might add because heaven forbid you dismantle it once you are done).

Good luck Lexi!

I sent my husband to Target 1st thing this morning because we had Gymbaroo.

He scored all the things I wanted and we saved $70 on Abi's birthday presents. Woo!

I was not brave enough to go. Living in a small town - there is bound to be a lot of claws and cattiness!! ;) BTW - pop over to Mama Butterfly (www.mammabutterfly2.blogspot.com) - there is a little surprise for you. X

I was saying to Bern Morley on Twitter that when I worked in a large dept store while at uni full time, I got stepped on in the stampede at the Boxing Day sales! There were TV camera crews there filming it for the news. Madness!
Good luck!!
