Back In The Habit:: Day One

It's day one of Back In The Habit. Are you playing? Would you like to play? If so, let me know so I can add your blog to the blog roll (see over there ---> Back In The Habit: Cast and Crew). And grab your button while you're at it!

My habits I am heading for over the next 21 days:

- teeth flossing (totally unglamorous, but I'm back in the saddle)
- drinking more water
- exercising more frequently
- editing my house (I must donate to charity 21 pieces in 21 days - can I do it, or will the hoarding beast within stick its claws in)
- at least one hour of housework a day

Gosh my life is exciting.

I've already loaded two small ramekins to be given to charity. I am in the throes of housework.. Le sigh. Teeth flossing scheduled for tonight. Water in progress.. It's just so cold. Exercise.. Hmmm. I am wild. I am crazy like a fox.
How are you going with your habit forming?

I am joining in but do not wish to declare my habits publicly. May I suggest room temperature water for drinking?

Got the button. Got the future habits in the works. I'm going with:
teeth flossing
more water drinking
no mcdonalds
write regularly
be less judgmental
I don't want to set up specific goals (such as 8 glasses per day) because I don't want to be disappointed with myself!
Here goes!

Ok I'm back and decided, but Lexi, I think you should at least include one nice habit to take up. Because you deserve it.
I know that I should be forming some habits ( fine on the water front, but yes housework is needed) But I'm ignoring the chaos of my house, and have decided I want to wear a dress or skirt at least once a week, and not just if I'm going out. I so often look at other chicks and think how nice they look, and why don't I ever wear a dress. Because i'm lazy and pants are comfy.
SO I'm gonna, get on my lazy arse and wear a dress once a week. And I'm wearing one right now.
Also I'm going to clean out my handbag once a week, because it puts Mary Poppins to shame.

Whoa look at you with the 5 habits. I thought I'd go with one, more chance of success that way. Today I hauled my Winsor Pilates dvds out of retirement. I'm committing to doing the 20 min workout daily for 20 more days. I'm thinking I'm already regretting this. I'm aching all over. It could be the workout today, it could be the flu, or it could be I'm just a big girls blouse. Time will tell. Anyway I'm all badged up and ready to go.

hey girlie, i'm in.

i'm going to start writing a list of what i need to do each day so i don't get freaked out about HOW MUCH I'VE GOT TO DO! If it's written on paper it doesn't look that bad.

there's others - I just haven't written them down yet.

chat later luv

Hey - I've been trying to get into the blog habit - I've never been too regular with it infact just the opposite - completely erratic like my life. I'd like to try the theory that 21 days straight makes a habit and i favour that challenge rather than a Julia and Julia style challenge of 1000s of recipes in a year. Let's see if I collapse in a crumpled heap at the end of 21 days...

Oh you are funny. I don't always comment but I am here, reading every word, and getting a giggle.
Now habits. I'm not too bad with habits - but confess I floss maybe the day before I have an appointment with my dentist. Eek. But, hey, I commute four hours a day. My life is so compartmentalised I can do no more. I have such a routine going, and it's freakin' me out. I just can't add flossing. I just can't (nervous breakdown ensues).

I'm dusting off my disused habits and joining this bandwagon. I have no idea of the shape of my habit forming quest, but today I will resolve to listen to more music. Life BC was full of radiowaves, concerts, festivals, lingering stops in record shops. I want to get back some of that action.

Yep, I'm in too. I need to do so many things it's ridiculous - but will choose the most enjoyable one - listen to more music!
