Tres Excited! The Great Gatsby

Be still my beating heart!

As sure as I am PottyMouthMama, Baz Luhrmann is a genius.

I can not wait to see The Great Gatsby (out December 2012). Look at Gemma Ward. Look at those finger curls. Those feathers. The razzle. The dazzle. THE BOATER. That jaw line. Oh sorry - let me get back to Gemma. Woweeeee!

I've got butterflies just thinking about it. I love the visual feasts that are synonymous with Luhrmann films. The richness of the imagery. I love being swept away into another time and place. I love Luhrmann.

Now I'm going to curl up in bed and re-read my battered copy of F. Scott Fitzgerald's literary genius.

Oh me too - love it and love Baz {but am v happy there's no Nicole in sight...} Not sure if I can handle the 3D though, hope there's a 2D version so I can soak up the fabulousness.

Those finger curls...wow, I wish that level of fashion and style would return. Classy.

I'm thinking of hosting a 1920s party when the film comes out. I know, planning in advance.

Hurrah! I just re-read it recently in prep. And no jokes – Chris and I once had a conversation that in a modern day remake it would HAVE to be Leo. And it is! And what a comeback for Gemma Ward. I can't say I have a favourite model but if I did she would be it. x

One of my all time favourite books ... studied it in Year 11 ... had a crush on my Lit teacher ... re read it recently ... still love it - so glad Baz is doing this - and that it is sans Nicole!
