2012 Met Costume Institute Gala: Someone + Emma Stone + January Jones + Christina Ricci

This is a model. Her name is Coca Rocha. She is wearing vintage Givenchy. It once belonged to Liz Taylor. And in my book, it should have been left in the bottom of Liz's wardrobe, as an appetiser to all the starving silverfish and moths of the world.
Remember when you were small and you had a music-box complete with a spinning ballerina? This is what Emma Stone reminds me of. In a good - no - very good way. I love this cute red frock. She's young, she's flirty and she's fun. And she's covered in 3000 plastic flowers. In a good way.

Well, well, well, look what Betty Draper dragged in. January Jones frocked up to the nines and ready for a night out on the tiles. She's gone for Versace and a peplum waist to boot. Girlfriend, I gotta say, you are looking might fine. That yellow is a-buzzin'. And I love your necklace. I love it all. Neeeext!

I love Christina Ricci - she's cute, quirky and pocket-sized. But here, I think she kind of looks like a napkin in a Chinese restaurant. Like someone's carefully folded an oversized napkin into a swan, and then become distracted it, crumpled it up and discarded it. Christina came along and thought - I'll put a bird on it, and wore it. To the Met Ball. Having said that, the kid rocks alabaster like it's nobody's business.

I sometimes think the people in the background are the funiiest part of the pic. Yep, that yellow too-short trouser suit if O-F-F! But the guy doing 'dorky legs' next to Christina is a cracker!
