Why Tiny Loves LEGO Friends:: A Giveaway

Tiny has a little star chart. Every time she does something ace, she gets a star. When she gets 10 stars, she gets a reward. Tiny gets so darn excited about her star chart, it's hard to kerb her enthusiasm! So last week, when she reached 10 stars, it coincided with our day together.

I took Tiny to the shop to choose what her reward would be. Sounds scary, but Tiny is pretty conservative when choosing something she likes, and she had already told me she wanted something from LEGO Friends. And so it was, on that particular Girls Day that Tiny chose Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery

We came home and sat on the couch and put it together, Tiny's getting really good at LEGO under the watchful eye of the LEGO afficionado, the Doctor. What a little whizz.

Tiny is mad about LEGO Friends - and loves mixing the regular LEGO pieces to add extra bits and pieces. She's grown quite a collection - however she's currently missing Stephanie's hair *gasp*. And they are all kept together in MY Tupperware. Grrr. But heck. At least their hair is secure.

So dear reader, it's with excitement that I let you in on a little secret. I have five LEGO Friends prize packs to giveaway. How's that timing just before Christmas?!

Each prize pack includes:
- 1 x Andrea's Bunny House (RRP $15.99) - this is SUPER cute, we can recreate our bunny fun without the fear of being bitten - hooray!
- 1 x Mia's Bedroom (RRP $15.99) - what girl doesn't want her own drum kit - I love this and Mia even has a tidy room - way to go Mia!
Each pack is valued at $32.

To enter, all you have to do is perform a triple backflip from pike position, a quadruple somersault mid-air, and finish off with a great big belly flop - and then a drum solo.

Or you could comment on this post and tell me if you were a LEGO Friend, how would you keep your hair on?

Terms & conditions:
- There are five prize packs for five winners - each valued at $32. Total prize pool is $160.
- All winners MUST be contactable via email. If I can not contact you, I can not send you the prize. Funny that. I will announce via my blog and Facebook. I do not have ESP.
- Open to Australian residents only (sorry dudes)
- Competition is open from Wednesday 21st November at 6:59am until Tuesday 27th November at 11:59am.

*  This is not a sponsored post. It's just a very nice collab to say thank you to my awesome readers, from PMM and LEGO.

COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. Winners to be announced on Thursday 29th November. Thank you!

In our house Lego friend would have to keep clear of Mary our dog for fear of losing her hair, arms, legs, nose. Up high I say. Up high. Dear ruby is so good at hiding all her bits and bobs trinkets and toys away from Mary in little shoe boxes user her bed. Jilian x

Oh I would definitely go with the silk head scarf a la Grace Kelly. Perfect for keeping my hair in place as I race around the little streets of Monaco in my pink convertible Legomobile!

Love a good play with Lego. But LOATHE cleaning it up!

In our house, my sister hated hair on dolls so much, she would snip it off with scissors. We had lots of bald barbies in our house...

Hubby is a big fan of super glue so I'll say that's how we stick things together around these parts. But I'm like you, I put all the little pieces away in a tub to save my sanity!!

xx

I guess the hot glue gun could sort that out. Or just tell Stephanie to harden up and just be bold and brave and bald? I do love the Lego and really I dont think much or care about the location of all the little bits and bobs and hair much at all until I stand on it at some point and then it may possibly end up with threats of going in the bin to the echo of much muttering and cursing.

With blue tac perhaps? We're all a bit blue tac crazy here at the moment :)

Thanks for the chance to win.

I have been wanting a hot glue gun for a while, if I needed it to hold my hair on I could justify its purchase..

Nothing a bobby pin wouldn't fix!

Lilli Sparrow said...

err I'm assuming I am a 'lego friend' so my hair would already be moulded and click into place...?

ally said...

ummm...by not doing triple backflips and quadruple somersaults!!!

rachelmp said...

I would go and see Lego Friend Andrea and play bunnies. Much more likely to keep my hair on there!

Anna Lloyd said...

Blue tack of course!

Sally Morrigan said...

By lazing around in bed, having my minions do all the tough lego building jobs for me.

We haven't had that problem with the hair yet. Maybe some double sided tape, or that gross sticky stuff that sticks things on the front of magazines.

ClaireyHewitt said...

I would be a Carmen Miranda. Add a piece of lego fruit to my head. What better way to keep ones hair on!

Monique said...

Nothing that some super strong hair spray can't fix! Ooh. Ellie would love this giveaway.

plait it and tie it under my chin, like I normally do

Sticky tape for the hair. In my house, sticky tape fixes everything. Serious. The small put a shattered bucket back together with sticky tape and it held water. 3M loves us.

I'm totes glad you posted the positives about Lego Friends. We're starting to make the big move from Duplo to Lego. My Ma and Pa are ace hoarders and they have kept our childhood Lego stash. Strangely enough the small isn't that into Star Wars Lego and really wants something girly. It's on the list for Santa but I'll be definitely promoting it to the top of the list after reading this. Thanks PMM!

I'm seriously pleased you posted the positives on Lego Friends. We're making the big move from Duplo to Lego. My Ma and Pa are ace hoarders and have kept our childhood Lego stash, but strangely the Star Wars Lego isn't as big a hit with my girly girl as it was with my brothers and me. I wasn't sure if Lego friends was a bit too gimmicky to go the distance. But reading this, It'll be bumped to the top of the Santa list for sure. Thanks PMM and Tiny! You girls are ace.

We tend to have this problem with strawberry shortcake who can't kept her hat on and one upset child who seems to place the small parts in hidey holes all over the house. Then one day she opens such hidey hole and gets a surprise and gets so excited ad runs off to tell strawberry shortcake that she has found the missing hat etc.... so for the hair I would let her try to put strawberry's hat on the hair cause if the hat fits wear it !

Super glue :P every child's best friend... just kidding!

grow it super long and tuck it into my knickers!

As it is nearing summer in the Southern Hemisphere which equals HOT, HOT, HOT, as a LEGO Friends character I'd clip all of my hair off and use my best buddies as back-up. I'd head over to the nearest My Little Pony tail, get between their hind legs and have it function as a wig when I needed it to.

Great comp PMM, thanks for the opportunity to indulge :)

Honey. I'm thinking Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey. Will stick that helmut-mane firm, whilst still retaining a little natural movement. Will also encourage high-shine and healthy lego-friend scalps. And of course it contains no nasty parabens.

Band-aids. My DD needs one for everything that's broken, so needless to say I find them stuck in the weirdest places. We have Winnie the Pooh, Dora and The Wiggles so quite fashionable really :)

My DD loves LEGO, she's just turned 3 and she's always getting Daddy to help build with her. Great Daddy+daughter time :D

Milina Opsenica said...

Duct tape of course! fixes everything. The barbies I had when I was growing up had no hair either. But that's because my brothers cut the tops of their heads off to make them Ken dolls!

Sonya Nicole said...

Forget about sticking the hair on, discard it entirely and go bald - will create a new fashion statement to everyone in Legoland.

Dee said...

Blu tack, easy to use when I want to change styles.

Diana O said...

Hot glue of course, this way it'll never come off. No matter how determined the little fingers are trying to pry it from my head.

Ernie said...

Tarzan grip. It's mans best friend!

Wendy D said...

I would go into the Garage and get some silastic (liquid silicone glue) and squirt it on my head then my hair would never come off and into tiny mouths.

karina w said...

With staples.

kerry santillo said...

Ohhh, there's no option to upload a photo of my triple backflip from pike position, a quadruple somersault mid-air, and finish off with a great big belly flop - and then a drum solo. Bummer. Take my word for it?

Michelle Gray said...

Hollywood tape, holds everything on and in :)

I'd want it easily removable for a change of style as one does hate getting into a rut, so I'd use industrial strength amounts of hairspray (channelling Madonna circa 1985) which washes out easily so I could swap with Olivia, I do love a shiny brunette 'do.

I would use leftover porridge, that stuff will stick to anything, trust me!

I have just had to fast-track my dance mom status with 12 hours and 3 dance concerts yesterday, so I have to be an expert now!!

I would whack my hair in a ponytail, wrap it around, snake-like with a bun net (that matches the hair colour) fashion it with very large bobby pins, split apart and bent over and stuck back in and then spray the mofo with a can of hairspray, only to take it out again for the next dance where the hair needs to be in a high pony tail with 4 individual plaits. So then brush out the hair spray, try and keep the pony tail (or re-do) divide said pony tail into 4 equal sections (for godsakes make them EVEN, no fatty or skinnys here) whack a tin of hair gel on so there are no whispy bits (god forbid) and then repeat with hairspray parlava!! Rinse and repeat ALL FREAKIN DAY!

Then follow with make-up so you look like a two-bit hooker! Noice....

Who needs hair? Is there a Willow Smith LEGO friend?!!

Sarah Doss said...

Blu tac it keeps everything on.

Jo Sutton said...

Surely Harry Potter or Tinkerbell would have a good spell for it. Thats who I'm siding with...

Cereal! It always seems to set to concrete in the bowl if you don't rinse it in time! Just pop a piece of soggy cereal under her hair and good luck getting that baby back off without half a day of soaking!

What hair! Shaved scalp so cool!

Joselle said...

I would send my kids to their grandmas, as they are what makes me loose my hair, via me pulling it out, and not only that, it's turning grey!
