The Start Of Something Beautiful

Tiny started dancing lessons. Oh my. I wasn't prepared for the cute attacks that I had during the lesson. So darn cute.

During the week leading up to the class, Tiny had told me what she wanted to wear. It swung between the pendulum of fairy wear to ballet attire.

On the day? A very small tutu and her favourite t-shirt. I then pointed out that she had to wear something so no one would see her knickers. So she tossed a nightie on over the top. Eclectic ballet attire.

If you're considering signing any of your smalls up to ballet/dance - do it. You will ensure a great ab work out (from giggling) and they have such a wonderful time.

Tiny was completely pooped afterwards. Halleluljah!

Owl Be Good To You

Prepare to have owl envy. This is THE cutest clip. I'm not one for posting animal-y type videos, but this one? This one you gotta have. That little owl getting all schlompy being patted? Reminds me of my Mum when you play with her hair. Too, too cute.

Little Swimmers. Not THOSE Little Swimmers.

We've started back at swimming just in time for it to get cold once more. Cold and rainy. Perfect swimming weather really. If you're English.
Tiny has been particularly excited by this foray back into the water. She has to wait half an hour while the Doctor does his lesson. Fifteen minutes into the Doctor's lesson she asks if she can get ready. Which she can. And then minute-by-minute she asked "Is it my turn yet?"
Whenever the Doctor would do anything good she'd give him a tiny little two thumbs up.
That little almost-three year old kills me. She's pretty fly. She gives me cute attacks daily. Twice daily. Thrice daily. Sometimes even more. Mostly more actually. Ok I'll stop now. The end.

While We're All Here

While we're all gathered 'round ye olde computere screene enjoy this relic. I found myself humming this song the other day. How's that for a pang of nostalgia?

Wish me luck, the smalls have been bickering hardcore since 7am. It's continued since then with the Doctor telling both Tiny and I that we are too rude. Whatevs! I need to time-out myself.

Twiddlebug Love

Twiddlebugs have always been my favourites on Sesame Street. They were always so silly. And funny. I really loved that they lived in an old milk carton. Plus they lived on a window sill. Remember them old style? Bring the beat back!

Because I Am Nuts For Squirrels

When Matt and I spent some time in London, I discovered squirrels. What some people call a rodent, I call a thoroughly charming, fluffy tailed little fellow. I used to feed them, which apparently, is illegal. No matter, those little fluffy cuties came bounding out from wherever they be hiding to be fed by PMM (although technically I wasn't a mama at this stage) and I made it worth their while. Honey nut bar anyone?

Anyhow, it is for this reason that the above photograph delights me. Totally. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say, the photo above thrills me beyond reason and back again.

Spooning

I haven't posted for a while about thrifting. I'm here to make it up to you. I promise you something and then I don't deliver. I'll punish myself later, but for now, here's something I found on the weekend that I couldn't resist. I didn't even try, I just wanted, had to have and hey - they were cheap.

I bought them for my smalls. And for anything really. Tea. Coffee. Me. Today I am just one big walking cheeseburger. But these spoons - they be the shiz.

What's your hidden talent? Can you play the spoons?

I'm Out Of The Closet

Today I came out of the closet. And I'm not talking a walk in wardrobe either.

Today I revealed my secret identity to fellow bloggers at Mathilda's Markets. It's the first time I've met any other bloggers (sisters don't count, right?), so it was a little exciting. Ta dah!

I met the very lovely Cass from Snailblazer and Ingrid from LottieLulu. Cass recognised me as 'the bag lady'. I guess there are worse things to be known for... Yes?

Cass and Ingrid had so much goodness going on. Beautiful dresses made from the most divine fabrics. Cute wall hangings made from old books. Cute to boot cards. Awww. So beautiful. If only I could have bought more!

Plenty to see at the market - alas, I had the Doctor with me. He was on the verge of a tantrum. We were teetering, very, very, dangerously, ridiculously, perilously close. It was like wearing a pair of new, super dooper high stilettos, bouncing on a pogo stick and jumping along the edge of a cliff. Dangerous. I had to navigate him carefully around (and quickly) before he started shooting steam out his ears and realised he was not getting a toy (which he kept chanting at me as though he was brainwashing me).

Cass kindly gave the Doctor a ridiculously cute notebook (sorry about the really bad blurry photo). We're saving this little cutie for our and about tours (a small bag I keep in the car and only bring out on 'special' occasions to distract, it's only the very special goodies that make it in here).

We came home with a small bag of goodies that's big in the cute stakes. Some things are destined for lives in other places. Some things are ready for Tiny's first birthday (including this cute clip from Giddy Giddy). Shh. Just don't tell her, it's meant to be a surprise!
