The Things I Do For You

It's Valentine's Day. And looky what I just dug up on the interwebz for you.

I'm going to test Facebook and see if they remove it. Do you think Z'berg thinks this is too rude?

I just think it's freaking hilaire. Who knitted these? SO RADSICLES!

Happy Valentine's Day

Yes yes, I know.

But you know what?? I'm turning the beat around (love to hear percussion).

PottyMouthMama is wishing YOU dear reader, a wonderful Valentine's Day.

And if there's no flame or secret lover in your life - I command you to woo yourself with a special treat. A caramel kiss perhaps?

For goodness sakes! I baked cookies. To put on my kids lunchboxes. I LOVE THEM!

I've even written a special little ditty just for you:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Valentine's Day stinks
But PottyMouth loves you.

Gosh I am romantic.

I hope you are safe from the clutches of white fluffy teddy bears holding red satin hearts. Helium balloons. Bunches containing baby's breath. Instead I hope you get something swell. Like a big old fashioned smooch-a-rama.

We must all jolly well enjoy ourselves this Valentine's Day. Because if we won't, no one will.

HAPPY DAYS PEEPS! x

Bah To The Humbug: Valentine's Day Ideas

Just in case you are living under a rock, or hiding under a rock - like me, then you may not be aware that it's Valentine's Day on Tuesday.

Who cares?
Bah humbug!
Boo! Hiss!
Rack off PMM!

Yes. That's sort of what I think too.
We're just not that into Val Day.
But just in case you are looking for a way to declare your undying love to someone secret, or even someone not so secret, here's some ideas to woo the woo-ee.

Who wouldn't want to curl up with an amorous lover when their bedroom looked like this? Snaffle these pillowcases from Salvation Jane (hotel quality - AYE CARUMBA!) $39

Say 'Aye carumba' with this Victoria Mason necklace (she's offering 15% off heart related goodies until V-Day) - $77
Diamonds are - after all - a girl's best friend. Diamond ceramic brooch from - Georgie Love $40

They say the way to a man's stomach is through his heart (see what I did there?) Court your lover the old fashioned way with a Champagne Afternoon tea at the QVB Tea Room - $124

The Miranda Sweetheart dress for your sweetheart? OH YES PLEASE! Gorman $299

Not good with words? Say it with a print. Famille Summerbelle Blue Love Bugs print from Tiny Bird - $79

Go traditional with fragrance. Gypsy Water from Mecca Cosmetica - $158

And so yes, this list is late - but then so are you if you haven't purchased yet. So we can be fashionably late together. Correctomondo?

The Day of Lurve

Do you love Valentine's Day? Or do you shun it? I totally paid it out when I first met my boyfriend-at-the-time Matt. He went out and returned with a framed drawing and said "Happy Valentine's Day". Oops.

I'm still not into fluffy white bears, red roses and balloons.

I'd rather a handmade card, or a drawing, or a book, or something uber thoughtful like being serenaded by my bedroom window (just joking Matt, if I hear you singing out the window I'll throw a bucket of water on you especially if it's in your pseudo Nick Cave voice).

Despite my cynicism, I am happy to be proved wrong. Please! Do prove me wrong. What's your best Valentine's Day?

Kiddie Craft:: Heart To Heart

The Doctor and I are starting to hit our stride for 2010. We're setting aside some time to do some craft together. This week we've gone with a theme, and since it's Valentine's Day.. Well you guessed it, we're having a heart to heart. We're making hearts for those we love. And even those we like. We are kind of cute like that. Well he is at least.

All you need is some paper, some paint, some sparkles (and in our book: the more sparkles, the better), and we've upcycled some old wrapping paper to make hearts to the max. Is your heart exploding yet?

I'm not really into Valentine's Day, but the Doctor makes it fun, and he LOVES to give people he loves something he's made or drawn or painted. So we're getting into Valentine's Day the recycled, home style, crafty way. It can't hurt to tell someone

If you want to amp up the lovin' stakes, head on over to Toni's space. At Little Suitcase she's been counting down the 12 days of love. So much lovin' to be had at her place. Can you feel the love tonight?
