Look At Me Go!

I've been stitching up a storm - I'm loving this new rhythm. Maybe it's the sick me that allows me to stitch. Most of the time I'm running around like a blue-bottomed fly, but the sick me lies on the couch stitching and falling in love all over again with Gilbert Blythe. You try and tell me you're not a sucker for this classic.
See my colouring in? Well I was only going to do a few petals, however, once I started, that gentle rhythm took over and now that I look at it... Well I think it would look like I'd just been a little lax with my stitching and couldn't be bothered. And my friends - that would never do. Onward stitching soldier.
Matt tells me it's starting to take shape like a stained glass window. I love this. I love stained glass windows (there's nothing like that perfect hue of blue bright and bold with sunshine bursting through - take a look when next you're inside a church).
Anyway - I know I've piqued your memory - go on, here you go.
PS - If you haven't already - enter my Kimya Dawson giveaway. You don't have to have a blog - just a way for me to contact you. Don't be shy!

Matt scores points for that compliment. It is looking stunning, bet you have trouble giving it away! Perhaps you will have to stay permanently stuffy until Xmas,

Gilbert & I have been together for at least 25 years...I'm devastated to hear he's cheating on me.

I won the full set from "The Age" the date reckons because nobody else entered!

You, Potty Mouth Mama are a kindred spirit.

Oh my goodness...it's beautiful! Kudos to anyone who is good at embroidery. I just suck at it!
I hope you get better really soon (well maybe not too soon..you'd better finish all that stitching first)!

Wonderful embroidery!
Like Anne, I hope you are well in body soon (but hopefully not considerably rough of the spirit!)

I have loved A of GG since the first time I saw it on public television in the 80's. I recorded it on video tape and I remember having a Green Gables marathon with my sister one snowy holiday. I cry every time Matthew dies...

Hey it looks great! Actil pillowcase? I just bought an Actil sheet set the other day with the aim of embroidering the pillows and top sheet.

You know, with all that spare time I have.

The piece is coming along beautifully, it's just a pity that you're sick.

Ahhhh how I love Anne of Green Gables. I was in love with Gilbert for so many years.

Gosh I loved AoGG too, and swooned endlessly over Gilbert. Ahh, watching You Tube brings it all back, and now I want to find my mum's copy of the double box set on video...

You're stitching is progressing wonderfully. I like the stained glass window analogy....and nice of Matt to notice.
