So it is dear reader, I'm heading back to sewing lessons tonight with a vision. I may not be Karl, but damn fool, I'm going to get this top I started last year happening so I can at least wear it in the intended season. Summer. And if that fails, then I'll just stitch up some more pyjama pants - because you know how I love to stitch those babies up, even if I do have a wild tendency to stitch the legs up. Problem? The Doctor hasn't even worn the top once!
Did I mention I found a sewing machine on the side of the road? No? Well I did - on Tiny's birthday. I just am a little scared to rev it up. Just hold tight. Ok, coming to you live - I just tried her out. Sewing is dangerous, isn't it? She started up, then flick - the needle broke off and hit me in the forehead. YOUCH! It hurt. I told you it was dangerous. Next time I may have to wear goggles in class of flying needles.
While I have you, I've done a wee bit of tidying here at PMM HQ. I have updated my link list, and am updating my playlist, and you'll notice a few more changes around here soon. I did change the background to a buttery yellow - for all of two minutes - before I went back to white. White's tight, right? I was meant to update yonks ago, but didn't get to it, so I figure if I take the same approach I do to decluttering our home, it will eventually happen. You'll still feel at home dear reader!

At least if you only have one eye after a rouge needle no one will say anything nasty about croocked sewing!
I am sending up my old one before Doctor needs to call a doctor.
Sing out if you need a hand - more than happy to have a sewing/blog meet one day here at the Blue House...
Awwww YOU! Are so cute! Thank you - and now I have your address... and look you put me in your links! Awwwww! Double thank you, Ms PMM! Hope your day was great... Max survived beautifully, you'll be pleased to know!
The Janome is glorious. She just wants you to know who's boss. As long as that's straightened out you'll get on like a house on fire.
i was faithful to an old machine throughout my sewing lessons last term and it ended badly. tension tension tension issues tears and tanties and not much sewing just unpicking and staring at the manual. one by one all of us sewers ditched our old machines and came in with shinny new ones and a new lease of life. i was the last to give in. got a new lovely hardy clever one for chistmas. i can do anything to it and it just smiles at me. haven't looked back. highly reccomend the newness x
you find the bestest things ever!!
I had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me with a rouge needle on Sunday- nasty!!
Service service service.... I can't go on enough about having sewing machines serviced. It saved mine from being tossed from the top of a cliff. Now she's good as new. :)
p.s. thanks so much about your suggestion for my little garden cards! To be honest I still haven't made anymore. The ones you had were a WORLD EXCLUSIVE!!! Dum Dum Dadaaaa. I must get around to moving onward with those. I'll be in contact about to find out where your amazing nursery is when I do! :)
