Day 18:: Frocktober - Frida(y)

I upped the ante this week and did Frida(y).

Little Tienda offered me a frock and was the inspiration - I came to the party with my headband, and accessories - including power brow and mo.

I will have you know I left the house and went to work like this. A colleague came up to me, looking quizzically. I assured him I'd drawn my mo on.

So I hit my goal of $4,5000 - actually I got $4,555.55. Now I need to set a new goal given there's still 13 days left in the month. Can you help me reach $5,000? Every dollar helps, $5 is amazing.

Back to the frock - Little Tienda has generously offered PMM readers 10% off Senora Las Flores dresses - with 20% of these sales being donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, until the end of October.

These dresses are seriously comfortable and will become a summer staple for me. Later in the day I added a belt, but whatever way you wear them - they are incredible. That embroidery is MWAH - so special.

Thank you Little Tienda for helping making Frida come to life today. I had a blast.

Dress: Little Tienda
Headband: I made it
Mono and mo: Drawn on
Earrings: Hmm. Can't remember
Necklace: Sussan
Bangles: A gift from a long time ago
Sandals: Country Road

Hello, My Name Is Lexi. I Am Your Cruise Ship Director

OH EM GEE! Did you say that? Did you really say that!? You really, really said that?!!!

Ryan can't believe it.

But let's take a moment to enjoy Ryan being dismayed at what you just said.

And now let's take a moment to look at Ryan's chest peeking through there.

........

Ahhhh. That's better.

Have you had a good week? Ryan wants to know, and therefore, you should totally respond, because it's not just me sitting here in this lonely ghost-town of a blog. It's Ryan too. Ryan totes wants to know. Ryan wants you to comment or there will be no more Ryan Gosling gifs for you.

Oh, you want a funny?

Well, how's this?

Ahh that's better. How do you like me now?

Fashion Friday: Double Denim Delights

Sometimes at work we have 'themes'. Well I come up with a theme and then insist that everyone complies. Yesterday afternoon after tossing and turning between 'get flirty with skirty' - or 'double denim' we decided that denim was the way to go.

Here I am, in my husband's chambray shirt, dark denim jeans - who could ever deny the delight that comes from double denim?!

I walk into work, round the corner to my desk, and lo and behold no one else is wearing double denim. They went for a single shot of denim. I'm double-shot, piccolo-mocha-frappuccino whole-heartedly embraced it.

Well hmph!

I feel just like Alex P. Keaton today.

Well Hello Mr Darcy

Mr Darcy. Ahh. The delectable Mr Darcy. Moody. Broody. Intelligent. Slightly awkward. Well-spoken. Moody. Broody. Mysterious Mr Darcy.

Where would we be without Mr Darcy? And Colin Firth walking out of the lake in *that* white shirt. Swoon.

Here friends. This is here for your Friday viewing pleasure. Yes. Yes. You can certainly thank me later. Sigh. But for now, quick, grab a fan, I feel faint.

Indeed. It Is Friday.

I have a sister. Anna. She is funny and colourful and super creative. She can just *BOOM!* make stuff - and when she and my other sister, Sarah, get together, they do stuff - and it's awesome. And then combine that with my Mum, and *DOUBLE BOOM* the three of them make stuff. And wow. It's pretty cool.

I missed out on that creative gene. I think it was passed down by my grandmother, Mars. She was a woman who could knit, crochet and embroider like her eyes were telecopes. Seriously. The best birthday presents were always made by Mars and Gramps and were highly coveted. I still have the doll house, and all the jumpers, and all the dolls that were made by them, made with so much LOVE!

Mars even made a Princess Diana doll. So cool. I will find it and document it because, well the woman was bloody amazing.

I didn't get passed down too many visual creative genes. I got wordy genes from my other grandmother Nonny. Well I think that anyway.

Anyway. This is a long-winded way to say, here's your Friday song, gifted to me by my sister Anna (who likes Lana del Rey - but I won't hold that against her). I'm paying it forward .

With no further adieu, I introduce Alex Winston. Anyone by the name of Alex is alright in my books. AHEM!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
