Day 31 - LAST DAY! Frocktober - Cleopatra

So it is my friends, it's over for another year, and thank goodness.

Of course, yes of course it's been fun, but I am so exhausted. And I am so sick of sharing pictures of what I am wearing. Talk about Vanity Fair. Yawn.

Tomorrow it's Pants On Friday! I can hardly wait! I've been dreaming of my favourite soft leopard print jeans for the past week. It sounds so sad, but it means so much.

You know what else means so much?

You guys sponsoring me. I am BLOWN. AWAY! 138 sponsors. I can barely believe it.

I am so, so grateful that you came along for this crazy frocking ride with me.

I am thrilled to be handing over to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation over $7,000. That far surpassed my goal, gosh. What can I say?

Thank you.

Day 30:: Frocktober - A Two Dress Kind Of Day

WHOA. WHOA. WHOA! So it was Little Tienda's birthday and I knew I had to do something special for her birthday since she's one of my top sponsors. So I'm like a hybrid of Elton John, Barry Morgan and Ben Folds. In a frock.

Today was a two-frock kind of day. I had work, and then I had a work-thing. So I switched dresses for the evening. However, due to the lack of length of the second frock, and the fact that I was bumping in said event, it was probably - with hindsight, a silly, silly choice.

Have you ever seen a grown woman on the ground, in a short dress trying to roll out a carpet?

Yep. Awkward. AnyhooooO!

WANT TO SPONSOR ME? OF COURSE YOU DO!

Frock One:
Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Converse
Earrings: Vintage
Sunglasses: From the $2 shop

One day to go motherfrockers!

Day 29:: Frocktober - Sex and the City - The Whole Team

Today is a good day. Our whole team at work came dressed Sex and the City stylie, frocked to the hilt to help raise some more money for Frocktober.

And the only male in our team came as Julius Caesar. HUZZAH!

Despite the fact I look like Patricia Field and Miss Havisham's love child, I still have meetings. External meetings. Can you imagine my delight?!

Please sponsor me! I beg you!

Day 28:: Frocktober - So You Think You Can Nana.

This frock has a story. Pre-Frocktober I spied it in a oppie. I walked past it. I walked back to it. I looked at it. I touched it. I wasn't sure about it. So I Instagrammed it and asked you if it was too nana.

After many people said, yep, too nana, I went and tried it on. And I liked it. Actually. I really loved it.

Not only is it vintage, but it's hand-made - and the detail is pretty darn charming. The buttonholes have been carefully hand-stitched, the lining has been carefully selected to match the green of the print. I could say I fell in love with it.

So I snapped it up. And waited and waited and waited to wear it.

And today was that day. It might be a bit nana, but I really love it.

Add a belt and a pair of heels and it freshens things up. The fabric is SO so good, it's just cute.

SO this is the dress that you might have hated and I definitely fell head over heels for.

There's only three days left of Frocktober. If you've been thinking about sponsoring me - the time is nigh!

Day 27:: Frocktober - Princess Leia?

Usually on Sundays I like to hang out with my Star Wars friends. *ahem* I'm always chatting about Darth Vader, Hans Solo, Jabba, Yoda, oh the whole gang really. Which is why it was fitting to have a photo with these two fine fellows today.

Am I the modern day Princess Leia?

Gosh. I hope so.

As a tribute, I fixed my hair when I got home. Better?

This frock is a really light cotton, featuring beautiful lace inserts. Toss it on and you have yourself a really great frock for Summer, a style that's a little bit Victorian, and a whole lot of awesome.

Bangles: Gifts from beautiful friends and family

Day 26:: Frocktober - Pinkalicious

It's Saturday, I dressed for heat, it turned out cold. I shake my fist at you, you crazy weather!

Only five days left of Frocktober. Can I hit $6k? Can you help me? Please?

Dress: Vintage - a gift from OneFlewOver
Shoes: Converse
Sunglasses: Yada yada yada

Day 25:: Frocktober - Betty Draper

To celebrate another milestone, I dressed up a la Betty Draper.

Apron? Check.
Broom?  Check.
Pearls? Check.
Scotch? Check.
Everyready smile? Check.

Out of Betty evolved a funny morning conversation with Matt:
Matt: Lexi, have you finished with the ironing board?
Me: No. I've still got to iron my apron.

That conversation will never be repeated in our household, most likely.

Hey - if you have been thinking of sponsoring me - please do! I'm so close to $6,000 I can smell it! A $5 donation would be amazing, and I'd be so grateful and I know the OCRF would be too.

Apron: Vintage
Shoes: Country Road

Brooch: Vintage
Earrings: Vintage
Wig: $9 from a Hot Dollar - or some similar shop. Man it was tight. Gave me a headache!

For all those country strong birds out there - this is me, raw hide - yeeeeeehaaaa!

Bootscooting with the best of them! Can you sponsor me so I can slap some leather?!

Day 23:: Frocktober - Bam Bam!

Holy cow - what happened to this supremely crappy week. It got out of the wrong side of the calendar is what.

I totally missed the opportunity to go Bam Bam today. I totes should have rocked some bones in my hair and maybe said "Ugg" a few times. Damn it.

If I reach $5,500 by Friday 6:30am, I go to work as a 50s housewife. If I don't reach it, I just get to go to work as per normal, albeit in a frock.

So, like, maybe you might like to sponsor me

Day 22:: Frocktober - Grey Days

One of my all-time favourite frocks is this one. The fabric is a grey ticking, and it sits just so. I threw a long line cardi over it tonight, and it just looks all Japanese-y easy elegance.

I've been thinking about my next milestone, and thought I'd cast it out there: I've done rockabilly, I've done Frida - where to next my friends? Do you want Studio 54? Do you want Betty Draper? Grecian Goddess? I don't know! What do YOU want to see me dressed up as this Friday?

If I hit $5350 - I'll do it!

Day 21:: Frocktober - Colour

I HIT $5,000.55!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Thank you for coming on my fundraising journey - it's not over yet, but I'm already at my goal - thank you for helping me achieve it!!

On a different note, if you can spare some money for the NSW Bushfire Appeal, it will be well appreciated.

It's a dark few days in NSW, and we're all thinking of those whose homes are in danger, or lost - and to those firies that so bravely, every day go into battle. We thank you.

Day 20:: Frocktober - Nani Iro

Only 11 days to go of Frocktober my friends! I am pretty certain that's a relief - as it is for me, driving to work on Friday I thought how tired I felt. Frocktober this year coincides with a crazy-busy period at work, and doing both has left me feeling a little pooped.

I am buoyed however by everyone's support. In fact, I am totally blown away.

I appreciate that everyone has their own charities that they are passionate about - as I do too, so every time every single person makes a donation, I am so, so grateful.

A massive thank you to all of my sponsors - all 109 of you!! If I think of 109 people - that's major for me - because really, all I have to do is wear a dress every day. I so appreciate your support.

Dress: Made by my sister, Sarah - from beautiful Nani Iro fabric, this dress is a joy to wear
Shoes: Country Road
Earrings: Sophie Kyron
Sunglasses: LeSpecs
Bangles: Really old

**I've realised Tiny holds my phone on a jaunty angle, which means I always look a little sideways.

Day 19:: Frocktober - Doris Day VS Popeye VS PottyMouth

I got busted by my neighbour doing my weights in this get up. She probably already thought I was a weirdo, and yesterday was just confirmation.

Nevertheless I work out baby!

This was meant to be my Doris Day homage, stomping grapes and all, but Matt is kind of sick of taking photos of me. He thinks he's Nathan from ANTM and only gives me 6 frames to play with.

Tyra would be mad if she knew. How can I evoke Doris in just 6 frames.

So I cross-pollinated to Popeye.

Come hither for details on how you can sponsor me - because I still have 11 days to go.

Day 18:: Frocktober - Frida(y)

I upped the ante this week and did Frida(y).

Little Tienda offered me a frock and was the inspiration - I came to the party with my headband, and accessories - including power brow and mo.

I will have you know I left the house and went to work like this. A colleague came up to me, looking quizzically. I assured him I'd drawn my mo on.

So I hit my goal of $4,5000 - actually I got $4,555.55. Now I need to set a new goal given there's still 13 days left in the month. Can you help me reach $5,000? Every dollar helps, $5 is amazing.

Back to the frock - Little Tienda has generously offered PMM readers 10% off Senora Las Flores dresses - with 20% of these sales being donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, until the end of October.

These dresses are seriously comfortable and will become a summer staple for me. Later in the day I added a belt, but whatever way you wear them - they are incredible. That embroidery is MWAH - so special.

Thank you Little Tienda for helping making Frida come to life today. I had a blast.

Dress: Little Tienda
Headband: I made it
Mono and mo: Drawn on
Earrings: Hmm. Can't remember

Day 17:: Frocktober - Vintage

Today was a bad day for frocks around the world.

The blowy, gusty, pervy winds kept blowing my frock up. ALL DAY.

No amount of slips would have covered this wardrobe malfunction, and at one point I had to just paste my bottom to the car door so no one could see my bubble-gum bum.

Honestly people - stop the wind I want to get off.

If you're interested you can sponsor me here

Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Yes, yes Converse.
Earrings: El Cheapo from Diva

Day 16:: Frocktober - Gatsby? YES!

OOps. Sorry friends! I am terribly late with my daily post.

Yesterday I embraced my inner Baz Luhrmann and got into Gatsby. It's my favourite frock, I bought it for my 30th birthday party.

BTW - this was meant to be me doing the Charleston. Instead I look like a part-pirate. No matter friends, I can Charleston on one leg, surely!

So tomorrow I am doing Frida(y) Kahlo because I reached $4.2k in my fundraising. I've still got a way to go - so please dig deep and sponsor me. I'd be ever so chuffed old sport!

I'll even do a monobrow tomorrow, promise!

All money goes to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. You know that by now, of course.

Day 15:: Frocktober - Pinkalicious

Today is a great day!

Today is our wedding anniversary!

To celebrate this auspicious day, I've gone back to my roots. Vintage, pink, a little bit boho delicious. I do love this frock like crazy.

It's Laura Ingalls meets Barbara Cartland.

Maybe you'd like to sponsor me? If so, head here! All money goes to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to help kick cancer to the kerb.

Dress: Vintage
Belt: No brainer! It's Mum's!
Shoes: Country Road (again, they fit my big feet, what can I say)
Earrings: Vintage

Day 14:: Frocktober - Cool Blue (And Vintage)

You've no idea how excited I was last night when I heard it start to rain. Really, really, really excited. I get excited about rain. Especially when I am on my way to bed.

And to wake in this cool change, well what a gift!!

I was lamenting just yesterday to Matt that this year, due to the heat, I'd had to put off a few of my star dresses because it was too darn hot. But if this change sticks around, I can get them on - and frock up!

There's still time to sponsor me! I'm not even half way yet! I am so tired. I am sure you're tired of my head. I am.

Let's slay ovarian cancer together and help find an early detection test. That's the ticket!

Day 13:: Frocktober - I'm A Tree

Honestly - what kind of a Spring do you call this? It's not Spring. It's hideous. 36?! *&%$

Too hot for me.

I've barely done anything all day - I feel like such a sloth. Except for this photo and some washing.

As some may be able to detect *cough*, I've been watching America's Next Top Model, and I'm a tree.

Thank you to every one of my generous and kind sponsors. I am so humbled by everyone's support. Particularly when you take into account how many charities are out there, and that everyone has their own charity of choice - I really feel grateful for everyone sponsoring me their hard-earned dollars this Frocktober

All money raised goes to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation

Day 12:: Frocktober - BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Back by popular demand (ie Mogantosh really, really wanted it) is my Mum's belt! I know you're excited, and while I wait for you to pick yourself up off the floor, let me tell you about today.

It's called low-key weekend, and it was hot, and the perfect antidote to that coupled with high-maintenance yesterday was this Tilly by Lee Mathews maxi dress. With Mum's belt. Of course.

I'm tired my friends, and I'm only 1/3 of the way through Frocktober. But if you sponsor me I might feel a little less tired. Thoughts?
