Grammys:: Spot The Difference

Can you tell which leg is Angelina's and which isn't?

Yes. Come on. Play this game with me? Too hard? Oh come now.

 Lookie lookie! J-Lo bows down to the altar of Angelina. It's the one leg wonder. She doesn't look to happy either. Maybe it's because her hair stylist scraped her hair back so tight. Smile sister! I am so relieved she's not wearing a full-body vajazzle this time.
 Kelly Rowland - mmmmiiiiiaaaaaoooooowwwwww! Lady. You look HOT DIGGETY! This Georges Chakras gown is di-to-the-vine. And those svelte arms are enough inspiration to get me out of bed early and get exercising.

Simple, elegant, stylish. I am loving this pared back look on Kelly Osborne. This Paule Ka cut-out dress does good things - and I like it.

I love Alicia Keys - but can't help but feel like this bondage bustier Mick Dundee thing doesn't do the woman justice. One thing's for certain. I'm not buying it. And neither should her stylist.

I really, really hate it when I wash my clothes and they shrink. How else could you explain this dress? Seriously. There's a cure for this. It's called: PANTS.

Grammys:: Jack White and a Bunch of Others

 All of a sudden I have an overwhelming craving for licorice allsorts. Can't think why.
Don't you hate it when you step out for a night on the red carpet and your dress splits. All the way up the front. Like an arrow pointing to your vajazzle? Yes. I hate that too.
 I'm willing to chip in to buy Jack White some blush, anyone else interested?
 Suzie Elelman look out. This woman is set to be your rival.
You know how the bad guys always wear black - and the good guys look radiant in white? Well this happened and I think that's what's called a parody.

Grammys:: Kimbra, Gotye, Alexa Chung, Estelle, Faith Hill, Janelle Monae

Kimbra and Gotye. Yes. I love Kimbra's kooky sense of style, the girl has great pins and the biggest and best smile. This just works. And Gotye. Wally. Just look at you. You were somebody that we used to know. now look at you. Off to the Grammys.
I love this look on Alexa Chung. Fresh-faced, smiley, red lips, cute frocks - but did she run out of time after a morning picnic?! This is way too casual for the Grammys. Style guru or not, surely she could have rustled up some razzle dazzle.

I love the print of this dress on Estelle (again, no idea who she is), and the cut, except for... that cut. Across the waist. At first I thought it was a belt, and then on closer inspection I realised it was one of those crafty frocks that has had a tricky snip. While it looks fab on her - I'm not big on those frocks with the snips. For the special reason that my muffin tops would run over.
Faith Hill always comes across as this homegrown, wholesome beautiful woman. And she does look gorgeous here - I really love the bodice of this dress, but the skirt says real estate agent to me. I want to like it, but when you're at the Grammys you might as well go all out. Stick a full skirt on it and I'm sold.
I love Janelle Monae. She has a signature style and never strays from it, and I adore that. Ole. (Ok, sorry, I just couldn't help myself.)

Grammys:: Adele, Rihanna,

 OH EM GEE! I spoke. Adele listened. Last awards night I mentioned I would LOVE to see Adele in some colour. AND SHAZAM! This Givenchy Couture number is a WINNER. I'll shout it from the rooftops. I am so delighted to see her in this - with the shoes, the earrings, the hair and make-up and that look. That look, for the record is "PMM, look at me now." Yes girlfriend, you look smashing.
 Continuing on with being thrilled, Rihanna. Yes. This is all kinds of wonderful. Soft and feminine and flowing - timeless and elegant. Sigh. Swoon. I could look at you for days in this custom Azzedine Alaia dress.
 I was disappointed to discover this was not Gwen Stefani, but Kaya Jones. I don't even know who that is so I had to do like any curious soul - I googled her. And this is a very good reason why I had no idea who she was. However, I'm here to talk about what she's wearing, and I quite like that she's gone old school Hollywood. Bravo Kaya Jones.
Skylar Gray - I might be showing my age saying, I don't know who you are - but there's never been a sequinned dress I didn't love. Except this. This makes me think you're heading to the casino to play flirtsies with the croupier as part of some big casino heist. But what the heck, I'm in a good mood - you do look beautiful.

Grammys:: Katy Perry, Florence Welch, Solange

Crikey! The Grammys were on today, and the red carpet was rife with fashion triumphs. I've snuck a couple of peeks during the day, and have hand-picked some of my favourites, and some that aren'tsomuch, to share with you.

Giddy up!
Katy Perry has wonderful assets, there's no denying it. If you were on a boat, she wouldn't really need any flotation devices, as demonstrated here. Yes. I am totally jelly. She totally flouted the Grammy dress rules and bared her boobies  soul to the red carpet. And she looks fabulous in this Gucci frock. Although - one thing I'd change, a strong lip. I'd go pink. That's probably because I am a little bit addicted to pink lipstick.

Florence Welch very rarely gets it wrong. And she certainly didn't today. Check her out in this divine Givenchy sequinned sheath. Although - just to play Devil's Advocate, I think she's done this look. A lot. It works. But it would be refreshing to see something a bit different.

Look - we all know I am loving Solange like crazy lately, and she did not disappoint. Effortlessly oozing cool, she just floats in wearing colour of the moment - emerald, and studded coral heels, and her hair just so - and I just go - ahhh. She gets the green light.
