The New Royal Baby:: Or The Fresh Prince

I remember vividly that day taking my babies home. Exhaustion, excitement, bewilderment, big love - all rolled into one memorable day.

I know the world has gone crazy with talk of the new Prince, but sometimes it's good to be carried away with something else. To lose yourself to something exciting and sparkly when real life is anything but.

I loved Kate's appearance in polka dots, an homage to Princess Diana when she appeared after the birth of William. She looks so happy, as does he.

I go melty at the sight of that newborn. Swoon.

The Queen:: The Olympics

How great is Queen Elizabeth II? How great was her entrance to the Olympics? How great was the whole Opening Ceremony? Brilliant. So superbly executed, I was giggling, jaw gaping, loving it the whole time. It held me captive. I loved it so much.

Danny Boyle, you are a clever, clever man. And clearly the Queen has a brilliant sense of humour.

Of course my fabourite part was Bond and the Queen. What a riot.

Are you watching the Olympics like I am? I am determined to watch as much as possible.

How pretty was that pale peach confection? I don't think she ever puts a stylish foot out of place. And I loved the black gloves, clutch and heels - she is one cool grandmother.

Pantone Queen

If you follow me on Instagram, know me, or work with me and see me squirrelling away Pantone samples, or patting the Pantone book, you'll know I love Pantone colour charts.

Which is why I was so full of glee when I discovered a couple of months ago that Pantone had created this limited-edition numbered colour guide to celebrate some of the Queen's most splendid colour choices and to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

One could say the Queen is absolutely dedicated to her pastels. And I love her for it!

Fashion Friday:: Jubilee

Darlings. It has been a whole week since our Fashion Friday extravaganza, and what have I to show for it?

Two piddly photos.

I will work harder next week. Promise.

This week has been so cold, so-so chilly I have literally worn whatever I could grab and throw on. Our bedroom is like a freezer-room. This method of dressing has resulted in some unusual outfits.

So here I am, Jubilee stylie. Fur coat (that looks like I skinned the corgis), I  borrowed Tiny's crown, and they're my sunglasses. I'm like some 70s style queen from some random little island that no one's ever heard of.

Next week's theme: The Love Boat. Come hell or high water sporting some flicks.

I'm Ready! Wedding Countdown Is On

I told you I'd dress for the occasion. We've hosted our own shoot and here I am, ready and waiting for 5pm to roll around.

My partner, Earl Grey and I will be attending the weddding together.

We're excited. In fact, I may even have butterflies.

For The Record, I'm Happy For Them Too

This morning I was standing at the bus stop waiting for my bus. Waiting a little more. And then some more. So my good run of public transport was over. One day of awesomeness - and then boom!

Then I spoke to my Mum and one of the first things she asked was what I thought of William and Kate. I wracked my brain thinking - sheesh, I have to think fast, who is William and Kate in our family? Am I related to William and Kate? I was drawing blanks. Then I realised she was talking about Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Just for the record, I'm stoked that they're engaged. They seem to be a beautiful couple. I hope they enjoy a beautiful life together. They just look so happy together. SO happy. I love the love people!
