Logies 2014:: Paula Abdul, Someone in floral, J'Aton Again, Shelley Craft, Emma Lung, Michaela Banas

I just wish Paula had asked MC Skat Kat to the Logies as her date. My life would have pretty well been made.
I have no idea who this is, and I wish I liked this dress, but I look at it and think let's go on a picker-nicker. In fact, even if I did know who this is, I wouldn't be looking because the print is so busy.
J'Aton strikes again. This time with a netball skirt underlay and some boobie highlighters.
Shelley Craft looks like a mega-babe. I really love this look on her. There's proof there is life after overalls and workboots.
No. No. No. Emma Lung. WHAT were you thinking? Where was the slip? Did Alice McCall forget to send it across? Stop the madness people, and organise your lingerie better. I can't stop looking at your granny undies. Is that what you want?
Michaela Banas looks like a babe. Simple. Black and white. BOOM! She nailed it.

Logies 2014:: Claudia Karvan, Kat Stewart, Carrie Bickmore, Sonia Kruger, Jesinta Campbell

Always a favourite - I am a MASSIVE fan of Claudia Karvan. And this dress? Well it's pretty damn rad, AND it has pockets. Any frock with pockets is a friend of mine.
Kat Stewart always nails the red carpet, and I am a big fan of this. I think when you get tired, the front bit inflates like an air bag and you can have a nap. Quite handy really, particularly at the Logies.
Another frock with pockets. Carrie Bickmore, Carrie Bickmore, Carrie Bickmore - this my friend is just delightful. And you could just shove everything into those pockets and not have to carry a clutch. I know I am lame, but in my book, that is winning.
Sonia Kruger looks like a fox. Well she would if she wasn't camouflaging like some crazy lacy chameleon.
I actually like this. Simple, chic, those lines - Jesinta Campbell owns it. LOVE!

Logies 2014:: Asher Keddie, Jessica Marais, Jen Hawkins, Madeleine West, Susie Eleman and her norks

I just don't know what to say. I love Asher Keddie. But is this dress my favourite? Is it something I'd wear? Hellz no. Unless I was working at a bordello with a She Ra Princess of Power theme. Then I'd maybe consider it.
I am not a huge fan of the choker. Like ever. It reminds me of being 15. And I can't do that. Sorry. BUT Jessica Marais - I can't stop looking at this photo - while the dress is not my favourite - and thinking how beautiful she looks. I am a little concerned about the precarious coverage of her nips.

This was a monstrosity vomited up from the 80s. White mesh? No. No. No. Unless you're catching fish.
Someone fell headfirst into the haberdashery store and hey - look what happened?!
Susie. Susie. Susie. Props for recycling this dress from 1992, but I have to query, why did it ever see the light of day in the first place. Your gazoongies are all I can think about. And I don't want to.

The Logies:: Liz Hayes

Holy guacamole?! Could Liz Hayes look any hotter??? Sheesh! This woman is divine.

Logies 2013:: Brynne Edelstein, Asher Keddie, Giaan Rooney, Jennifer Hawkins, Someone I Didn't Ever Used To Know

I'm meant to be on a self-imposed blogging break, but it's the Logies, and while I'm sitting here cringing, I thought how remiss it would be of me not to cover the Logies. A festival celebrating local television, where we import international acts to perform.

In particular I love that rotisserie where they make the women stand and twirl for the camera. Who thought of that? I bet no one owns up. It's heinous.

Without further ado, let's do this thing:

I don't even know what to say except the salooon is missing its curtains, and they need them back for service tomorrow night. Ok Brynne? Thanks. Oh and My Little Pony want some credit for your hair. That is all.
 Asher Keddie. Always flawless.
Giaan Rooney. I like it. Sleek, sophisticated. And it reminds me of Wall-E. I don't know why.

I think Jen hurt her neck the other day, and Steven Khalil, genius designer, worked a neckbrace into her frock. It's been bedazzled too.
This young lady is going horse riding later. Hence the built in saddle bags.

Let's Discuss Plagiarism: Or How My Content Wound Up On Your Website

these images are called - wow - how did my content fall onto your website?!

So I blogged about the Logies.

I did. I always blog about awards nights. Because I love it.

And today, for some reason I was googling the Logies - because clearly I didn't get enough - and lo and behold, I found extracts of my content sitting on a large news publication website. Behind a paywall.

Let's just get this straight. My content. Used as more than just inspiration, and right there - with 'staff reporter' attached to it.

Apparently I am now a staff reporter - or a contributor at least, because they did at least change things around a little. I said tissues, they said Kleenex.

I felt more than a bit miffed. I felt upset. Mad. Ferocious. Wild as a wild cat. Grumpier than the Gruffalo. And just plain pissed off.

A friend told me I should take it as a compliment. I did. For two seconds. And then I just thought what kind of a lazy creep - who gets paid (I don't), steals stuff. They must be terribly uncreative.

Who does that?

I think you'd be surprised - it seems to be happening more and more. I've read about bloggers whole posts being cut and pasted and claimed as someone else's quite often.

My story about MY miscarriage was clearly the inspiration for a large website - and replicated in a weekly print publication. Though someone at least put a byline on that. Not my byline, but heck, it's an improve.. no it's not.

But the internet is becoming increasingly a small world. You took my words and you didn't think I'd notice? Well I did. And I'm watching.

Logies Low Down: Kylie Gillies VS Oompa Loompas

I'm going to have to go there - and call a treaty on fake tan. Kylie Gillies - whoever is doing this to you - report them to the authorities. You don't look like you've just come back from the Bahamas, you look like you've stepped off the rotisserie at Charcoal Charlie's. I know it hurts, but loofahing it off will probably hurt even more.

I'm not even going to mention that Dancing with the Stars wardrobe called - they want their dress back.

PS - If you're thinking about auditioning for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I hear there's an opening in the Oompa Loompa line up. You won't be in make-up too long, except for the eyebrows and hair. They'll stump you there.

Logies Low Down: Asher Keddie

Asher Keddie looks every inch the winner in this J'Aton number. I'm loving the delicate lace juxtaposed with the almost neon detailing, coupled with the sleek silhouette; hair and make-up is stylish without being over done. In my book, Keddie can do no wrong. She's a style maven and she owns that red carpet. Even if she does look like she's in some kind of red-carpet trance in this shot.

Logies Low Down: Rebecca Judd + Kat Stewart

Ok. I kind of see the look you were going for Rebecca Judd - but, er, what is that frock made of? Is it sheepskin? It looks like disused ugg boots were upcycled to form your train. And then we could call it the ugg-ly dress. Or is it a bunch of tissues? I just can't tell. Either way, not a big fan.

Kat Stewart, I went all breathless on Twitter and crowed about how much I loved this dress. And now I've seen it a little closer, and well, I can't help but think of the tattooed lady. On one hand, the design is so intricate, so feminine, and on the other hand - the tattooed lady. Let's file this under, undecided. I do love your hair and make-up though, that's got to be a good thing.

Logies Low Down: Uh Oh Tania Zaetta

I don't know how many glomeshes had to die to make this dress for blast-from-the-past Tania Zaetta, but they really want their lives back.

Zaetta should expect protesters to splash her with buckets of glitter as she walks out from the Logies tonight.

I don't know who's responsible for this menace to society. I'm sure we don't want to know either.

Logies Low Down: Lisa Wilkinson + Megan Gale

Yes, yes, yes, finally some glamour action on the red carpet, after trawling through all the pics.

Lovely Lisa Wilkinson looks amazeballs in this green - she said she was conjuring a "70s Samantha from Bewitched", I say she's carving out an elegant look all of her own. The gown is Elie Saab. I've got two thumbs up.

And here is where I tell you, I think Megan Gale just improves with age. I remember seeing her up close and personal - it must have been ten years ago - and thought, yes, she's beautiful. But these days, she just looks incredible. No idea who this frock is by, but golly gosh, it's working for her.

Logies Low Down: Carrie Bickmore

Ahh Carrie Bickmore, breezes in like a breath of fresh air looking so lovely in red. And a sore foot with 15 stitches. So she's wearing $15 K-Mart wedges instead of the new Tony Biancos she'd planned to wear. Well phooey to the doctors who refused to remove the stitches! But she still looks beautiful.

I'm just loving the fitted bodice, the blonde hair and the red, altogether - love.

I think the dress is by Bowie. But don't bet on it though. I'm not one hundred per cent
cert.

Logies Low Down: Delta Goodrem

Who is that? A Grecian goddess? Oh no. It's Delta Goodrem looking every inch the beauty - but a little safe for my liking. Yes, yes, it is beautiful - but I want pomp and circumstance. What do you think?

Frock is by Ralph Lauren

Logies Low Down: Kate Ritchie

Doesn't she look va-va-va voom and all that? Love the blue sequins. I'm a sucker for inky sequins. And she's just has that healthy glow about her.

I just love Kate Ritchie at this year's Logies - dressed by Steven Khalil.
