YES! I Love Anne Hathaway's Hair.

She chopped it off for her role in Les Miserables, and I gotta say Anne Hathaway - I dig the hair. Short-choppy-croppy. I love how this new 'do seems to totally frame her beautiful face, her large doe eyes, aye carumba girl. I just love a gal who can embrace a short crop. It never fails to slay me. 


This new look for Anne - my oh my - I am googling like crazy to see more more more! It's a brave new world baby - I love it so. 


I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow - I'm imagining running my hands through short hair. It just feels SO good.

So Pretty. So Inspiring - Enter Megan Morton

Last night I was lucky enough to score a sneak peek at Megan Morton's new space.

The woman is a genius.

If you're yearning for some inspiration, some pops of colour, something to make your heart skip a beat, you should go check out her new space.

Megan is one of those rare jewels of a woman who is generous, funny, magnificently creative - I adore her.

These images are by beautiful stylist Sophie The who works closely with Megan, of The Propery. I'd like to move a bed in there and live there. There's so much to look at - I could be a magpie, but heck, I left it there for you to enjoy too.

The new space includes the very rad Kitchen by Mike and a sprawling store by Koskela, that I think you could spend the good part of a day trawling through. There is so much treasure, goodness, and gems contained within this space.

Plus there's much more in store.

In The Sunshine

I got sun-fattened on the weekend. Like a cat sitting in the warmth, I lapped it up.

We were lucky to be invited to spend a blissful day at the Hunter Valley Gardens on Sunday. It was such a fun day, and is the only day of the week where the four of us get to spend together. I loved that. Lolling about in the sunshine with Matt, my smalls tearing off to a jumping castle, to an Easter egg hunt, to race in an egg and spoon race, a sack race - it was that blissful and reminded me that simple things are so good.

Afterwards we wandered through the gardens by ourselves. Last time I imagined I was Marie Antoinette. This time I took myself to Tuscany.

I smelt a rose that took me back to my childhood, in my grandmother's rose garden, that smell, so intoxicating. I can even smell it now. A real old-fashioned rose.

And then I stumbled upon a willow tree. When Matt and I were first engaged, and dreaming up our wedding, we agreed that we'd get married somewhere with a willow tree. I love willow trees. We didn't get the willow tree, but if we were into renewing our vows, well we'd be underneath this willow tree.

We were treated to a show by Crocstars, and the kids got to touch a crocodile, a snake, you know, the usual. Pretty fascinating, and that underbelly of the croc, so soft!

But seriously, no matter what time of year, I love these gardens - they are magical. All year 'round there is something to look at, to explore, and wear out the small people!

Incredibly Lucky

I was lucky enough to meet someone I've long admired yesterday. Sally Seltmann. She probably thought I was a big nerdy fan when I told her how much I loved her.

An incredibly talented and beautiful woman (those amazing eyes, those cheekbones!), she was as I imagined her. A delight.

If you haven't already bought her latest album, Heart That's Pounding, then you really should. It's one of those albums I can play over and over again. BIG LOVE!
