Perhaps You and Me? Yes. We Should Catch Up

When we moved we celebrated Matt's birthday on the same day of moving (happy birthday Matt - here's the removalist truck with two hot removalists to boot). And the Doctor's 5th birthday was celebrated in the first week.

It was a big and exhausting week and only now do I feel as though we are settling in. Phew. We still have boxes to unpack, but we're slowly getting there. Slowly.
I really just wanted to put this photo (taken on my phone) of my smalls for posterity. The Doctor's birthday and he's off to preschool wearing his Rummage crown, given by my sister.

Christmas Stylie

Another photo gratuitously supplied by my sister. This time I'm wearing the Doctor's crown (as created by the genius that is Nan at Rummage) as gifted by my sister. The photo-snapping one. This is Christmas stylie. Please note: I don't practise this pose in the mirror. It just comes naturally. Ahem.

Blogtoberfest Day 3: Because I Love You

Last night was the opening of Matt's exhibition. Let me give you some advice up front. Do not attempt to wear ridiculously high heels after an extended stiletto hiatus, while juggling a small ten kilo baby on your hip all night. Today I feel as though my spaghetti arms are more than al dente.

I did however have the most wonderful hair piece created by this artful genius. I also got my hair cut to accompany said hair piece. However I have no photos. Oops.

The exhibition, for anyone interested, was fabulous and Matt's works (without being completely biased) are beautiful.

And now on the anti-climax it's cold in Sydney. And raining.

I'm in the mood for a little baking. Nigella's 'birthday cake' to be precise. For my Mum! It was her birthday last week and we're going to celebrate. I love baking on cold, rainy, grey days.

Have you got sore feet? Sore arms? A sore head perhaps? Or maybe a bruised ego? Tell Aunty PottyMouthMama and she'll try and solve your problems.

Bright Lights: Fresh Talent

Today I did something wild. Spontaneous. Crazy. I threw caution to the wind and drove Tiny and myself to the Stitches and Craft show to meet one of my all-time favourite bloggers. I've not met very many real-life bloggers as I usually feel a little shy. But I couldn't wait to meet Nan.

Of course she did not disappoint. She's got a beautiful, abundant stall there and I urge you to shake your tail feather and get out there to show support for the exhibitors at Stitches and Craft. There is absolutely something to suit everyone. And loads of free activities to keep you busy.

I had a wonderful afternoon meeting awesome crafty, cool, inspiring bloggers/crafters. Kind of like Young Blood, but I didn't get turned away at the door. Oh and I got to see my sister too (she was working here).
In fact, I loved it so much, I'm going for another dip into the Stitches and Craft show tomorrow. Shall I see you there?
PS - The above are just a sweet sample of Nan's beautiful craftiness. She's a genius I tell you.

It's Me: Day 4

Today is Friday. The Doctor has gone into the city with his grandmother. Tiny is fast asleep. Maybe even snoring. I'm about to get stitching on a little project I'm working on. I've made Bills choc-chip cookies. I am ready to embrace the weekend. It better be sunny or it will have me to answer to.

I'm having a massage tomorrow and you can not even imagine how excited I am. I plan to fall asleep on the table. That's not a threat. That's a hopeful promise.

Oh - a long time ago I mentioned I couldn't find shoes that fit. Well I have. Because I got them made. If you need every day shoes and can't find anything in your size, may I refer you to Salvio's? They are super friendly, helpful and keen. The ballet flats in this shot have been worn to death, though still going strong. Plus I picked up a new pair the other day, and already have ideas for the next pair. I did want to get taps put on my next pair, but after reading this, I think I've rethought the whole idea.. But it would be fun tapping down the street. Yes, yes it would.

I May Be Sporting A Wee Hangover

So instead of banging on about anything, I'm going to send you off to other people. I'm tucked up under a quilt, sipping on lemonade, a box of tissues keeping me company. I'm sad like that.

Looking for an international man of mystery? Nan has some spectacular insights into French lurve.

Feel like a weekend trip to Tasmania? Fancy a seat on the fanciest red tractor? Go visit Michelle. She's been checking out the auctions.

Pip has a genius feline in her presence. As well as a piece in The Age (for some reason I can't link but definitely worth a read! - click over here).

Cindy's asking the big question - Why Do You Blog? My answer - because it's like my online diary, I am bollocks at keeping a written journal; and because I love to write.

And last of all, I'm sending you off to listen to some music. Put your feet up toots, sit back and enjoy one of my all time favourite songs. Have I shared this before?

Ahem. Image is yet another shameless hint for Matt. Pink Schwinn makes me go schawing!
